Pros:
Everyone here is amazingly friendly. Most of the staff speak some English.
There is a lovely veranda on the 6th floor where you can sit out in the air.
It's walking distance to countless restaurants, a Rey’s supermarket, a bakery (the daily fresh bread is amazing), the Metro, a laundromat ($10 will get you a full basket of clean clothes delivered to the hotel), a barbershop, a medical clinic, and a pharmacy.
There was not a lot of bar or traffic noise.
There is covered, secured, parking.
They are very focused on safety and health: There are wall-mounted hand sanitizers by the elevators, they took both elevators out of service briefly while we were there for maintenance, and the housekeepers absolutely scrub every floor and hallway.
The sheets are high quality – not scratchy, and the pillows were not overstuffed.
The front desk guy found us cheap covid tests for our return flight.
The hotel has a restaurant that serves a hot breakfast and is also open for lunch.
Cons:
They only heat the water in the mornings. But in the evenings the water was still comfortably warm.
The Tocumen Airport has better toilet paper.
The room safe couldn’t be opened – it was locked shut. The ‘business office’ is a small room with one computer and two chairs, but you can use the printer at the reception desk.
I had several items of clothing disappear from the room after housekeeping was there, but the laptop, kindle, and smartphone were totally out in sight and never had a problem.
