New Ibis, but could improve,
A new hotel, just a year old. Had a lot of difficulty finding it with satnav! Free parking outside, shops just around the corner. 10 minute walk into old town area with lots of cafes and restaurants. Not sure about the room layout. Bathroom partly open, have to pull the wardrobe door across for privacy!! Shower not draining properly. Small area for breakfast, doubled up with the bar, but could go outside, but with the smokers! Sat out for a drink in the evening, but there was a shortage of drinks! Staff friendly, but somehow fell short for a new Ibis!

Conveniently situated.
Spent a couple of nights here. Been before, so knew what to expect. 10 mins walk into town, shops, bars and restaurants of a good standard. Very nice square, and walk round old town by the river.

We stayed in the hotel on a business trip. The hotel was in the city...although this is very small! Wifi was great. Breakfast was continental but very dry. If you are hiring a car, the parking is difficult in the downstairs carpark as you have to park car up a metal ramp which doesn't fill one with confidence.

Great place to be in Győr
Very good hotel to be. My room wasn't huge but just enough. Very clean and very close to Arkád Mall, where you got nice stores, restaurants and supermarket. 10-15 minutes of an easy walk to dowtown too. So no need to be hopping on buses or any public transport at all.

The hotel had nice and helpful staff. The hotel was more modern and had comfortable rooms. It is walking distance to the Old Town but the hotel itself is located in the newer part of the city and on a busy street. Nice to have parking underneath the hotel.

That was a business trip. The room did for me what it was supposed to do. Nice, clean, quiet and comfortable. Easy access to everything. No complaints. If I have to make one I'd say the coffee wasn't that great.

This hotel was fantastic!
Everything was great, but parking is a bit of a problem if you have a rental. The rooms were practically sound-proof and very comfortable. The staff was excellent and very helpful.

A very comfortable city hotel with friendly staff. The room was quiet. Parking in the house for 10 Euros. The beautiful old city in walking distance (10 minutes).

Rude Service, Not a Wonderful Location
Upon arriving at the hotel around 12pm we were greeted by a man at the front desk who was apparently endeavoring to be as unhelpful as possible. He did not say hello, or even ask if we had a reservation but just kept saying "14, 14 and shaking his head. It seems we could not check into our room until 14:00. We asked if we could leave our bags at least and he sighed and vaguely pointed towards an unlocked room where we could leave all our worldly possessions if we so desired. The wonderful service continued when we did check in later. The hotel is not in the city center and is located at the intersection of two busy roads and not convenient if you plan on walking in the city. Also the room was not very clean. It was a disappointing experience as I have stayed in other ibis hotels and come to expect better service and conditions.

Nice hotel with clean comfortable rooms. Breakfast was very good and filling. Easy walk from the hotel to historical part of Gyor. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Gyor. There is secure parking available but with an extra charge.

Clean, neat, functional and good location...
I stayed only for 1 night. It was a neat, clean, functional room. A bit too small for a longer stay. The staff was friendly and the bar was nice. The location is convenient... Walking distance to downtown Gyor and very close to the train station. Pleasant stay overall for great price. Next time I will get a bigger room though.

Best choice in Gyor for a young professional
Very good for a short stay in Gyor. No complaints, really. Suitable (and relatively quiet) location, friendly staff, clean rooms and hotel, was able to leave the car in the outside parking lot right outside my window. Surely the place where I will stay when back in the city.

Standard Ibis Hotel
Hotel is a typical Ibis hotel. The location for us was great it was in walking distance to both the city and the shopping centre. The positives of this hotel are the location, the staff who are friendly and helpful, air conditioning and overall general comfort. The areas that weren't so great - it seems they cater to German tourists - TV programming is all in German with a few Hungarian channels. The bed was not overly comfortable. I would not also recommend paying for their breakfast, while it might be great it is very expensive considering the great cheap food available at a bakery. I might also add that we were there 2 weeks so little things did mean more to us than someone who is there for a couple of days.
