The hotel is in a very good location within close proximity to the beach and about a 15 min. walk from the harbor, tourist area and main bus station (or you can always take the bus which stops just across the street). The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I got a room with an ocean view, where I could watch the sunset from my balcony. Overall- good experience at a good rate.

Great Staff, Ok building.Posted Jul 2, 2012
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The problem with the hotel is that it is not non-smoking - you are allowed to smoke everywhere, even in the rooms. Stated differently: there are no non-smoking rooms. There's also a little casino area on the ground floor, where, obviously, people smoke non-stop. In short, smelly. The air conditioner in our room starting spitting out ice and generally malfunctioning at 4pm. The hotel staff did come up and check it out immediately. We were told to let it cycle a bit, which we did, and assured that if it started up again we could change rooms. It starting spitting out ice again shortly after midnight. Since we were leaving for the airport at 6am, we just decided to switch it over to "fan" rather than change rooms. We've chalked this up to bad luck on our part, but it may be worth knowing about.

Kings hotel is well positioned on the tomb of the kings road for nearby bars and restaurants which is why we chose to stay there for one night for a meal and some drinks without having to worry about driving home. The room was very dated and not very clean, the pool area was ok but needed a little attention to detail but the breakfast was very good for a 2* hotel which was a nice surprise. For what we wanted ( a bed for the night) it was ok but would not want to stay any longer or again.
