Pros - # it's close to big supermarket like 30 seconds walk. # taxi office is just 30 seconds away. # waterfront is also 5 mins walk away # nice helpful man in the reception Cons- # the hotel and rooms both looks bit dated

Not clean at all .. holes in the walls found insects in the bathroom Insects in the pool . The bathroom was dirty toilet seat dirty the bath i didnt even want to shower after seeing how dirty it is.The bed had springs coming out into my back all night The room was in very bad condition not like the photos the room i chose was not the room they gave me and when i complained i was ignored as the staff went to chat with a friend. So disappointed breakfast was unedible. I never write bad reviews but this was so bad i had to. Every week i go to different hotels but never saw one this bad in cyprus.

Overall it was a ok stay considering. Atleast the bed was comfortable. But its a old hotel, could probably do with a refurbishment as not all things were fixed securely and were held together with tape! Couldn't work the air conditioning to make it any cooler, had to use our own electric fan to keep cool. Has a bug problem. And one night i assume due to the temperature the fire alrams went off waking everyone. Sorry to say we wont be staying at the Sylva Hotel again unless improvements are made.

The location of the hotel defferntcthan on expedia and no signe of the 8 floor htel . Recption was too togh and really bad people Parking is not saffe becouse of drunk people and homles people around area The owner was ther and i asked for fridge and deary rooms old broken windows not saffe pool was dearty not clean No pluge to char phones in the room Bad sill in rooms becoase of broken tubes in bathromes

πολύ άσχημη εμπειρία σε ένα πολύ κακό ξενοδοχείο με καθαριότητα μηδέν .Το πρόγευμα πολύ φτωχό με κακής ποιότητας φαγητά. Πρώτη φορά σε ξενοδοχείο το πρόγευμα δεν είχε καφέ. Ασφαλώς και δεν πρόκειτε να ξαναπάω.

Very bad hotel,I will never recommend it for any body’s ,hot ,no Internet in the rooms,not clean ,I have a week around Cyprus ,we stayed in 5 different hotels ,this was the worse and the only bad experience,the staff agreed for late check out but we left even before our expected time ,we went for the breakfast few minutes but there was nothing even no tea

The Hotel is dirty. Nobody use the swimming pool. Almost nothing for breakfast and should pay 5euro per person. The bathrooms are ancient I mean very old in bad condition. The tv in the room was not working.

The hotel is not just old but extremely dirty. I stayed there with my baby and they gave me a cot without matress. The bed sheet were stained furniture old rusty. I dont even understand why they're still open. Pool was dirty no bar not tea coffe facility absulute disaster

So it's a 2 Star hotel, you pay for what you get. I stayed here with three other friends, we just needed a bed for one night. Don't count on there being a useable pool as it was empty when I stayed. Didn't make breakfast as we where out till 4am. Would not recommend for long stay.

I have the worst experience from Hotel.This Hotel is in bad condition everything is useless ,the TV was very old and does not working,it just take space in the room ,the air condition makes terrible noise ,the remote control was broken and was fixed with speed fix,in the rooms there is no WI FI ,for three days we had the same towels and the last day there is NO WATER.I had the impression that HOTELS COM includes good hotels.

Made a reservation on expedia and paid on line. Arrived at the hotel, Hardly any lights on and they did not have my reservation nor a room for me. Showing them my reservation made no difference. I hope I get my money back from expedia.

Never go there, we have had the worst experience ever. Ineffective a/c, no Tv as they didn't have a remote controller to give us, no wifi in room, they lost our room key and we had to threaten them in order to find a second key to open our hotel room door. Unbelievable!

Dirtiest hotel in many years
The condition of the Hotel is not very good, which could be understood. But the big problem is that it's the dirtiest Hotel I've been in in many years. When I arrived in my night table there was a chewing gum (used). The shower curtain had fungus. All the curtains and textiles looked dirty. Only good thing: the swimming pool was clean.

Rude receptionist, 80s booking system
On arrival the receptionist could not find my reservation from Expedia, she kept on asking for my voucher and I kept telling her I didn't know what she was talking about. I booked through Expedia, paid and received a confirmation e-mail, that is all. She denied I had a reservation and when I showed her the e-mails and my bank statement through my phone she questioned whether the phone was even mine and she wanted to see the card I paid. I showed her the card and she just kept getting more frustrated and was asking for 'a voucher' the whole time. There were no computers on sight all the reservations and everything relevant was handwritten by her on a paper calendar!!! That was all the records she had! After 40 minutes of lack of communication and complete shock of how we were treated and the system in place another woman decided to come out of the office next to the reception and told the receptionist that it is ok and that Expedia bookers don't need a "voucher" they have a room ready for them regardless. The receptionist was baffled she had NO idea of the procedure and we were left in shock with the whole situation. We were put in a position to prove we booked and paid for a room and that we were not liars or impostors. Even though our booking included breakfast the receptionist decided that with what we paid we were not allowed breakfast even though our booking clearly stated that breakfast was covered. An all round horrible experience in a hotel stuck in the 1970s.

Absolutely Terrible
The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. First night air con didn't work asked them to fix it the next day and they said it was the controller I waited over an hour for them to try new controllers then they moved me into a new room which was filthy and the air con barely worked. Checked out the next day.
