We've just returned from a 10 day holiday in Rome the primary purpose of which was to unwind and enjoy a great city. 10 days, as one may imagine, is enough to expose every fault in a hotel. The Aldrovandi passed the test easily and met every criteria we had - lovely location facing a park, good sized and comfortable rooms, knowledgeable concierges to guide one round the city, and, most importantly, unfailingly warm and helpful staff. The hotel laid out a great breakfast to fortify one every morning. Finally, the hotel shuttle to the Spanish Steps area was useful but we found it more enjoyable to walk the 10 odd minutes through Villa Borghese park to the Piazza del Popolo. We would love to go back to the Aldrovandi.

Beautiful hotel in quiet residential area. Amazing staff nothing was too much trouble. It was a bit difficult to find when we first arrived. If using public transport take the 360 bus going to Muse district and get off at last stop, then it's just a short walk to hotel. Hotel staff recommend local restaurants which were reasonably priced and food was excellent.

The Parioli neighborhood is one of the most elegant residential areas of the city, with tree-lined avenues, various foreign embassies, and the spacious Piazza Euclide as its main square. The Flaminio area expands around Via Flaminia, and has numerous important sites such as the Rome Auditorium, dedicated to music, the Flaminio Stadium, and Piazza Flaminio flanking the famous Piazza del Popolo.
