"Small Hotel in the Heart of Paris"
We stayed here for the 2nd year in a row, simply because of its location, which is So central, & close to ALL. Metro is a quick walk away, Tons of restaurants, shops, markets in very close proximity, not to mention Many Paris Attractions, like The Louvre (walking distance) The Seine (walking distance) Musee D'Orsay, Notre Dame, .... You get the idea.
We even walked to Eiffel Tower & back, though I wouldn't recommend it if you are tired (2 miles each way) but on a gorgeous sunny day, you hardly notice the walk !
Anyway, the hotel : small, did I mention .... Small? But that is al over Paris, it's a lifestyle! You get used to it. The Rooms are clean, our had 2 Juliet balconies overlooking our street, Rue Jacob. Which was lovely. there IS street noise, so if u want to sleep late, ask for a room in the back of the hotel. We didn't mind waking up with the locals at 7am, and getting ready for our day.
Bathrooms, depending on your room, last time we had a bigger room (3 people) so our bathroom was bigger, with a bathtub. This time we had a smaller room (2 people) & our bathroom was considerably smaller, with a shower stall. The shower had no door, just an opening in the glass enclosure to step in; so water splashed all over the floor of the rest of the bathroom but we learned to adjust.
Staff at the hotel is Very nice & friendly & helpful.
I would recommend this hotel but you have to think like a Parisienne, and Not an American when you come here !
