“We'd Come Again in a Heart Beat!”
Everyone at this Hotel was wonderful, friendly and helpful! Kris at the front desk was beyond words! It was great to have the large, buffet breakfasts in the morning to start the day. The rooms were clean and the showers were large and had plenty of hot water. The internet access was important to us. The Restaurant within the Hotel was exceptional and very well priced. The waitress that helped us at dinner was top notch and very kind. Only located a few blocks from the Metro, allowed us to access the rest of paris easily. We'd come again in a heart beat!!
“Good hotel in a borderline-acceptable neighborhood”
The location of the hotel is borderline acceptable. Sure, it is convenient enough with two metro stations being close - but the neighborhood itself is not exactly what you'd want. I am sure nothing bad happens there anymore than in your average Paris neighborhood - but that's the part I enjoyed the least. Had the location been better, it would have been a clear winner.
“Petite but Tidy”
We booked with Expedia and prepaid. Holiday Inn actually claimed to be sold out. Rates were reasonable, as far as Paris rates can be. Two rooms, two single beds each. Not room for much else, but we only used hotel for sleep, essentially. We avoided breakfast at the property due to the previous reviewers. We ate at local cafe/brasserie which is part of the experience for us-- there were tour buses at our hotel, but no impact to our stay, not even elevator delays, etc.. We arrived early in the day for our 4 night stay, and they graciously secured our luggage while we spent the day at Versailles. Despite my broken french, check in and front desk service was a breeze. They were helpful with maps, directions, etc. We visited the nearby HUGE antique market and flea market on the weekend. Fun and close to the hotel. Les Puces, I think it's called. Huge. The metro was about two blocks away. We got from CDG airport to the property in one hour, no problem. RER train using NAVIGO transport pass from CDG to Gare de Nord station where we caught Metro line 2 to Place de Clichy station where we caught line 13 Metro to the Porte de St Ouen station. Caution, Line 13 metro has TWO trains, which split at La Fourche (the FORK). Use the St Denis train on line 13, we found out, the hard way, haha.. Ok, the room was petite. but had all amenities, no washcloths, like most european hotels. I used Holiday Inn since I knew the standards, was not disappointed. might get closer to city next time.
“Good hotel for vacation”
Stayed there at the end of our trip in July. Very nice hotel - breakfast was good, wish it had more of a selection and price was a little high. I would stay there again.
“I like”
Its a great hotel. Was branded as holiday inn previously. So you don't find many reviews online. The room was rather large, all amenities in place. Free internet, coffee pot etc. Bed was comfortable.
“Good Hotel”
The only complain was they knocked I came into the room even "Do not disturb" sign was on the door.
“Better than we expected”
The aircondition was not working. They brougt an electrical heating unit to the room. There were no minibar in the room. The beds were very confortable and soft. The bath was enough confortable. Room cleaning service is good. The breakfast was better than we expected. It was like a 4 star hotel breakfast. The hotel team was very nice and helpful and respectful. It is close to subway station and Charles De Gaule airport.
“Service was GREAT, rooms clean, small. A BUDGET hotel.”
Service: front desk: Lots of bad reviews on this hotel! Management must have read these reviews, because the service level i experienced was EXCELLENT. They were attentive, helped with special requests (like directions and other hotels) had change, did everything possible to make the stay smooth... and we used them ALOT. top notch service specifically given by the two women. There appears to be an effort to give better service here. Cleaning: prompt but noisy and unaware of guests need for quiet. cleaned room even though i had the do not enter sign up after we left (no safe). Room: smaller than average, overall clean. larger than average, comfortable queen-like double bed. no room for 2 people to maneuver; good room for one person. no / tiny room for large suitcases. no safe. had to pay for internet (11 euros, front dest 24 hours. internet was fair; had to sign in frequently and the codes were long). lobby internet available, but a total ripoff. hotel has public int'l phone. bathrooms small but have bathtub; shower was good/hot. restaurant: dont bother. dont even consider it. logistics: about a 2 block walk to the 13 tram will get you to the western flank of paris. to get to center, youll need to transfer. area: roughish, but safe. spray paint, immigrant type area but never felt any safety issues. overall: a good choice if you are on a SERIOUS budget. dont pay too much; but the rooms are adequate and you can still see paris from here.
“The Bathtub with half a glass.”
It's the first time in my life that I see a bathtub with half a glass, instead of a shower curtain. I could not avoid the water splashing out onto the bathroom floor. One more thing: some TV channels they promised to have available, weren't available( TVE among them).
“New Years 2013”
The front desk management was very supportive and exceeded our expectations. Great team work by the staff. We had one issue with the dining staff that was resolved in a timely and professional manner where a junior manager attempted to clse the breakfast bar an hour earlier than posted.
