Friendly hotel near sacre coeur

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Staff lovely but room disappointing - v dark and dim lighting and very basic facilities. Surrounding street dirty with vomit and urine streaked pavements and groups of wino's sitting around.

incredible vacation

Pros: The location most of all, plus the staff.
Cons: Water from the shower head sprayed all over the bathroom floor-had to be careful of that.
Location: Great location-shopping, restaurants, fairly quiet for being in the city. The metro was very easy to navigate.
I cannot say enough about the Hotel Adaggio at Montmarte. It was clean, in an excellent location and the staff was very helpful.

Good basic hotel

Posted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: Kitchen space was very handy. Location good. Metro handy.
Cons: Needs freshened up, need to check appliances/lamps as one of our party got an electric shock from a damaged lamp cable.
Location: Sacre Coeur close by. good reasonable restaurants.
We were looking for a good basic hotel in the real Paris. The Adagio Montmartre is very close to Anvers Metro and a very short distance from Sacre Coeur. It wasn't our first choice but proved to be fine with 2 small beds and a bathroom and small kitchen off the bedroom. it was great having the fridge as it was unseasonably hot and we consumed vast amount of drinks so this helped to keep the costs down. We didn't cook at all in the room but brought breakfast locally and ate it in the the room which again helped costs. The area is very Parisian although can be slightly scary with people hanging around at night although saying that we had no trouble. The door is code controlled so felt secure. Noisy at night on the street side. Staff friendly and helpful. Room and beds clean although rooms could do with a freshen up. all in all happy with our choice and plenty choice for eating at night.

Room was nice, but surrounding area ...

Posted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: Spacious, apartment layout. Close to subway/metro.
Location: Close to subway, restaurants and grocery store.
Not as quiet as advertised. Loud garbage collection in the morning. The surrounding area was not very clean.

I would not stay there again. The staff was nice. We stayed 5 nights and if stay for more than 3 nights, you do not have your room cleaned daily. They charge you (included in your bill) a one time clean up of your room that does not happen until the day you leave. Therefore, the room was not cleaned everyday nor did we get clean towels. The staff were hesitant to give us clean towels and explained that I had to pay extra to have the room cleaned daily. I have never stayed in a hotel in which the room was not cleaned everyday. I would rate this hotel a 2.0 for this reason alone.

Lovely hotel.

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: has kitchen with utensils, friendly staff and located close to metro and some sights.
Cons: Softer mattresses. Were two plug outlets broke and bath plug wasn't tight s water trickled slowly out.
Location: Area is okay but some homeless people around. Do not hassle anyone though. Sacre Coeur is very close and a beautiful area. Metro stations are close.
Stayed here before but got a one room apartment this time. Gorgeous room with a stunning view of Sacre Coeur. Spacious room with spiral staircase.

Great area, good access to everything

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Fresh'n up older areas with paint. And lighting upstairs was week.
We stayed in a 1 bedroom on the top floor, the flat is two stories, the bathroom is on the upper floor and the stairs are spiral, so you must be comfortable with stairs. We found the space to be a good size for Europe and gave us ample room for a family. The area is a bit more bohemian , so not for the faint of heart. Nights were ok, can be noisy, but that is part of the large area. All amenities were close by, groceries, restaurants, and shopping. The area it self was fun and plenty to see, and the Metro and RER, make it easy to get around.
