Good hotel for the price

The room was clean and modern. The best front desk person was Vanessa! She was so helpful and courteous. The other front desk people were not so good and need retraining. Other than that our stay was fine.

Cheap and cheerful

Pros: Lovely staff
Cons: Clean up and modernising
Location: Hotel located in quaint back street location with plenty little shops, supermarkets and cafes nearby.
Hotel located in quaint back street location with plenty little shops, supermarkets and cafes nearby. We didn’t bother paying for breakfast as it was much cheaper in local cafes. Look out for “Nicolas” wine shop a couple of streets away and a cheapish supermarket called “Super U” on the main drag. We recommend the “Paris Visite Pass” train ticket when you arrive at the airport. That gets you to hotel via train and metro. You will use it a lot from this hotel as it is a good train or bus journey to main attractions. We also enjoyed a LOT of walking, starting from the hotel. All the staff that we had contact with were helpful and friendly. Be prepared for quite a bit of atmospheric noise from bars and cafes in the street below. The windows provided adequate soundproofing from this when tightly closed. Sheets and towels were always clean but carpets well-worn and stained. The tiny lift was almost comical but it worked well. No air con remote though I must admit to not asking for one. On the whole, not a bad place to stay on a budget.

Economical yet close to many attractions

Pros: Rate. Large room and well equipped bathroom.
Cons: The lobby is dated and would instill more confidence when you enter the hotel if it was updated.
Location: We walked to Moulin Rouge and Sacre Coeur. We enjoyed the neighbourhood as it was busy with lots of cafes and shops in the area.
We enjoyed the hotel overall because it was quiet (except for street noise on Friday and Saturday nights) and we could access the metro in a 5 minute walk. The room was large by European standards. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly.

Five day stay

We enjoyed the staying at the hotel immensely. Our room over looked the street and a lively street scene. The area is great, the shops and restaurants nearby excellent. The hotel is close to the Metro and also bus stops which took you to all parts of the city. The staff were lovely and most helpful. We will certainly stay at the Art Hotel when next in Paris.

Great small hotel easily reachable by metro

Art Hotel Batignolles was exactly what I was looking for in a Parisian hotel: quaint clean rooms with views of typical Parisian buildings, good location, and reliable WiFi. The staff was very helpful and allowed us to check-in early. They even kept our suitcases after we checked out because we had a few hours to spare before leaving Paris. The area felt safe and at night it becomes a lively hotspot for young adults. There's tons of cafes, bars, and boulangeries to choose from. The closest metro stop is 10 minutes away and well connected. Since the hotel wasn't super close to the major attractions, we preferred staying out all day without returning to our rooms to change. This encouraged us to walk all over the city and make the most of our time in Paris. The rooms are small by American standards, but regular by Parisian standards. They are comfortable, clean, and can have a nice view if you request the higher floors. The walls were somewhat thin, but I was never disturbed by people in the other rooms. They offer breakfast, but we never took advantage of it. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good-priced, lovely place to stay.

Nice hotel, not too far from the center of Paris

Nice hotel, situated within walking distance of La Fourche metro station, and just a short metro ride away from most of the main tourist sites in the city making it a great base for exploring. The room was small, but not tiny. It was clean and well appointed, the shower was fantastic and it was cleaned daily by the hotel staff, who spoke good English. Lovely

functional and pleasant

Pros: Air conditioned rooms were a plus and the mini-fridge was super handy to keep our drinks and water cool. Staff were really friendly and helpful.
Cons: We specifically requested a double bed as this was our honeymoon, unfortunately we were given 2 singles pushed together.
Location: Walking distance to 3 metro station and relatively close to the Moulin Rouge
A nice hotel with pleasant multi-lingual staff. Hotel room was clean and well-kept with fresh towels provided daily. Staff allowed us to check in a little early which was nice. We were a little disappointed to be given a room at the rear of the hotel with no view, however the room was quite and as it was at the rear of the hotel it did not have any street noise. Breakfast was nice, but a little expensive!

Small hotel, 4 day stay

Twin room, smallest I've ever seen. No iron or ironing board available despite asking...it was "somewhere in the building ". Staff were polite and helpful, place was clean and tidy and WiFi good and reliable on the 3rd floor and in the restaurant next door :-) good place for the price.
