Artus Hotel, excellent location in central Paris

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Lovely hotel, great position with lots of art galleries, great bars and restaurants, easy access to boat rides along the seine and tube links but far enough away from tourist hotspots. Stayed with my husband and my sister with her son. We stayed in one of their more quirky rooms, with shower and loo through glass partitions. If you want more privacy just ask for a twin room, it's a double with bathroom behind a screen. Friendly staff, great find, would happily stay at the Artus again.

city break

Pros: fantastic room and very helpful staff
Location: very easy to get around St Germain and Latin Quarter and only 10-15 mins from Notre Dame . I walked 10mins or so to get the metro up to Montemartre.
Just off the St Germain de pres its a fantastic location surrounded by fabulous cafes. I was a solo traveller and so security and location was important to me. My room was refurbished only 2 weeks ago the bed was very comfy and the room spotless. The L'Occitane bathroom products were great. As the hotel is in a busy area I was expecting a degree of noise pollution - I am a very light sleeper but I had a great nights sleep. I did not have the breakfast and so could not comment - but I believe it was £20 pp.

Great Location in Saint Germain

Posted Apr 5, 2014
My wife and I had a lovely stay in this hotel which is in a really good spot for all the bars and cafes in Saint Germain. The staff were particularly helpful and friendly. The rooms are small but well equipped, clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

ALmost Boutique

Pros: Excellent concierge service, Modern, well-equipped bathroom with wonderful shower and amenties.
Cons: Bedroom area did not have enough (1) outlets for charging tablets and phone. which was problem for internet use. Two in bathroom upstairs.
Location: It is on the Rue De Buci.. just off the quai , steps from the St. Germain, metro, and all the great left bank streets.
Well situated, small hotel with exceptional concierge service. Rooms well equipped and bathrooms very up to date, with L'occitaine amenities, espresso machines, robes, etc. Only problem with duplex was no ability to control the heat and downstairs room was very cold, and upstairs bath very hot. Some hit and miss room service, day one no espresso machine, day two it arrived, but overall good. Elevator can hold just one person with bag, but that is part of it's charm. Nice breakfast areas downstairs. Need to update amount of outlets (only 2) for charging tablets/phones. Larger bathrooms than we've encountered on the left bank. It is a lovely hotel, but just short of being called boutique.

Location is Key

Posted Mar 29, 2014
Pros: Location Location Location
Cons: Room size is tight but well designed for limited space
Location: Good Food, Notre Dame, Shopping, and Pharmacies
A very nice upscale hotel. It's smaller which allows for very good personal attention but lacks some larger hotel chain amenities. The room was small--- my first trip to Paris so maybe they all are--- but clean and comfortable. Don't get trapped on the first floor, it's actually partially under ground. We had a good view of the street which was a huge plus. The best attribute of this hotel was the location, this is really what you are paying for if you stay here. Walking distance to Notre Dame, the river, lovers lock bridge, and Museum D'Orsay (and the Eiffel tower if you have your walking shoes on--- WE MADE IT), but more importantly then being near the big tourist attraction is that there are excellent cafes and restaurants all around you. My wife and I stayed two nights and three days on our honeymoon and ate at a different restaurant for every meal. VERY GOOD! Also close to several pharmacies (proved valuable) and a Louis Vuitton store (valuable for my wife).

Boutique hotel

Pros: Amenities; location
Cons: Free continental brakfast rather than 15 euros.
Location: Excellent location near shops, restaurants, sites, etc.
Our second time here. Delightful boutique hotel in great location. Concierge Sanjay knowledgeable and personable -- even provided a bottle of champagne to celebrate my birthday, and recommended excellent restaurants nearby.
