Small boutique hotel in Paris

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: Excellent facilities and staff, and an ideal location.
Cons: The showers, whilst very good, had a tendency to splash on the entire bathroom floor if you weren't careful. But a very minor downside.
Location: Close to Vavin, no. 4 metro stop.
Right around the corner from Vavin metro stop, which made it very handy to go exploring around Paris. We had an excellent deal on the room for the time of year and location. The rooms are small which is par for the course in Paris, but uses the space very efficiently. The lift is also very small if you are claustrophobic, but there are stairs which you can take. Overall, a very nice hotel to serve as a base camp for exploring Paris and very good value for money. The staff always had a smile on their faces!

Highly recommend!

Pros: It is in a great location if you dont mind a bit of walking. The prices in the area were much better than closer to the Seine river.
Location: Luxembourg gardens is extemely close (5min walk). We were able to walk to the Eiffel tower and the Arc de Triomphe from the hotel in 1hr. Metro close.
We stayed in this hotel for six nights in one of the upgraded rooms and were very happy with the staff and location. The bed was rather soft on one side but overall the room was well put together. Be aware that their elevator is rather small and is for two people only, or one with lots of luggage.

Atelier was exactly what I wanted for my stay

Posted Aug 24, 2014
From arrival to departure staff were friendly and helpful. Although the room was small (to be expected in Paris) it was comfortable, clean and well furnished. The bathroom was also brilliant and of a reasonable size. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel and great location

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: shower, location, cleanliness, staff
Location: Loved the restaurant nearby Sur le fil. Easy walk down Rue du Rennes to St. Germaine and beyond to the Seine and other sites.
I thought this hotel was just fantastic for the price. Very clean and modern room. Great shower and very comfortable bed. I was traveling alone - it would have been small for two people, but workable. Terrific location close to Metro and restaurants. Staff so friendly and helpful!

Quiet and comfortable!!

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Came over from London with my 9 year old daughter for two nights and was pleasantly surprised with our online hotel pick. Very quiet, clean and comfortable beds. Straight shot on metro from Gare due Nord and near other major stops. Also not far from a L'Open Tour bus stop. Lots of restaurant selections for all day eating. Walk to Luxembourg gardens to play for kids. Hotel is very small with only breakfast option. But great if you are out all day sightseeing. Staff is very courteous. Loved it!!

Gem of a Hotel

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: Location, comfort, staff.
The hotel was such a gem. The staff was excellent and professional and spoke English. The location was perfect, a few steps to the metro as well as cafe's, restaurants, shops, and in fact we found ourselves coming back from a long day to settle down to one of the cafe's nearby. My flat iron broke and the young lady at the reception desk gave us directions to a shop that sells beauty supplies. Just a word of warning, do not bring your expensive flat iron to Paris, even the converter did not work with mine and now I have to replace my $200 flat iron. I found one in Paris for 40 euro. Highly recommend this gem of a hotel.

Awesome hotel!

My hotel experience was amazing. The rooms were very clean, amazing location, and perfect for my first time in Paris. Of course, the rooms were quite small, but that is expected when staying in a hotel in Europe. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again!

Great Employees, Great Location, Great Shower

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: the people, the location, comfortable bed, awesome shower.
Cons: ask to stay on higher floor to avoid street noise. Close the shower with a small curtain so as to avoid water all over the tile floor.
Location: very near metros (Vavin and Monteparnesse), great restos in area, dry cleaner one block away, walk to park.
An odd little hotel in terms of design, with perhaps 3 - 4 rooms per floor, the two larger rooms at the front, and nothing fancy in the lobby for sure. Worlds smallest elevator, one person and one bag at best! Bed very comfortable, shower awesome water pressure and temperature, welcome for a Paris hotel. Front rooms can be a bit loud as there are young people at clubs on the street, but it never kept me up. They offered a back room but did say it would be smaller, and I found (as per the norm in Paris) the front room a little small but not crazy small, so I stayed with the original room. I would ask for a higher floor, as high as possible, if the noise could or would bother you. Location was awesome, right near metro (in fact two stops very close) and a five minute walk to the RER stop to avoid connections. Good restos in area. Best of all was the stuff, never a friendlier nicer bunch have I met in a Paris hotel, always with good suggestions and willing to help and pleasant, not the surly norm one is accustomed to. I would stay here again!

Great location-small room with white walls

Posted Jun 16, 2014
This hotel has a great location- close to lots of shops and caf├ęs. BUT the rooms are SMALL. The elevator can hold two normal sized people at best with luggage. You step out of the elevator and there are three rooms to a floor, arranged in a tight semicircle. Odd experience - no room service- no ice- which I now know isn't uncommon but I would have chosen a different hotel had I known. Staff was great though.
