Cozy hotel with a convenient location.

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: I liked the cleanliness and character of the building and décor. I also loved the convenient location.
Cons: The service of staff could improve. I didn't have any bad experiences, but they should appear like they care about service.
Location: Convenient location near the Opera metro station. There are many restaurants and many shops along the rue de l'Opera. The Louvre is a 20 minute walk.
The whole experience was wonderful. The staff was very helpful, and the room was beautiful. The room looked exactly like the photos online. The bathroom was very clean. The location was great, as it was a five minute walk to the Opera metro station and a 20 minute walk to the Louvre. The area is also great for shopping, as it's a 10 minute walk to the Galeries Lafayette. The Rue de l'Opera also has many shops to browse.

This is my second stay in this hotel and still loved it! Great location- just next to Opera- , kind staff and very homey room!-room is not big but you don't expect large room in Europe unless you pay 1500$ a night! Wonderful breakfast as usual .

Quiet comfortable hotel in the centre of Paris

Posted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: The fact that it was convenient for centre of Paris. Comfortable and clean. Staff helpful. Breakfast selection good and nice to be included in price.
Cons: Air conditioning could be improved. The seating in the breakfast area was limited, when busy.
Location: The location was close to the Opera Garnier. The rooftop terraces on the Prinetemps and Galaries Layfette worth going to for a lovely view of Pari

Modern, Well Designed Hotel

Posted Oct 31, 2014
Pros: Breakfast
Location: Great location - close to the Louvre and other sites.
The l'Horset Opéra is a recently renovated and well designed hotel. The staff is very helpful. The continental breakfast each morning was delicious and got us up and out for the day.

A Night at the Opera

Posted Oct 30, 2014
Pros: Location - excellent
Cons: Staff service
Location: Everything within a metro fare away, or a short walk.
Great location, just 2 minutes from the Palais Garnier (Opera house) and metro. 10 minute walk to the Louvre. The hotel itself though was a bit disappointing. It was clean and well presented but rooms were very small and the staff, whilst polite, were poor. Room service was almost non-existent. Tea, coffee and milk were not replenished in our room and when I asked for more reception didn't have any. At one point I asked for some ice in a bag for my wife as her ankle had swelled. Two hours later and no ice had arrived! At breakfast, whilst the continental buffet was more than adequate, croissants ran out and were not replenished and there weren't enough staff on so that tables weren't cleared. On checking out there was no thank you for our stay, simply a request for the city tax to be paid. It wasn't bad, just disappointing. Perhaps I just expect too much!

Excellent Location

Posted Oct 24, 2014
Pros: Location, european continental breakfast, nice bathroom.
Cons: AC system did not seem to do a lot. We opened windows. It was fall so that worked for us.
Location: 3 minute walk to the Paris Opera House. Easy commuting, close to resturants. It was perfect!
I've been to Paris two other times. This was the best location I have ever had. We were close (3 min walk) to Opera Metro and 6 minutes to the RoissyBus stop (CDG direct). Excellent choice of brasseries and bistros all within a 5-10 minute walk. Easy 15-20 minute walk to the Louve. We loved it. The elevators are small and slow but got the job done. The room was a little smaller than I had hoped, but the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was updated and clean, and included continental breakfast made it a great stay. I would stay there again.

Excellent location for sightseeing in Paris.

Posted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly.
Cons: The hotel does not have a proper restaurant but it does do excellent bar snacks and there are many very good eating places nearby for all price ranges
Location: It is situated near to the Galeries Lafayette and Printemps department stores and the Opera Palais Garnier. It is in an excellent position for walking
We really enjoyed our 5 day stay at this hotel. From our hotel we walked to Notre Dame then took a 1 Hour sail on the river Seine and then visited the Muse'e d' Orsay art gallery. The Louvre and the Eiffel tower are also within walking distance. I would recommend taking an open top bus tour at the beginning of your stay which will let you see the various locations of the places to visit at your leisure.
