Stayed here for our 40th anniversary! Excellent hotel with professional staff that do everything to ensure your stay is memorable. Central location which is walkable to Eiffel Tower, Place de la Concorde & access to 3 main subway lines that get you to all the great attractions & neighbourhoods of Paris. Great local bistros steps away from hotel which treated us like family. Located in high end shopping area of St. Honore. You will love staying here!

Hôtel Opéra Richepanse is a miserable little hotel. I booked a so-called “deluxe” room and was put on the first floor with a green pharmacy light shining straight into the window. If you have no need to spend your money wisely, this is the place for you! Let me tell you what you can expect: 1 - a ridiculous survey sent before your stay which asks if you want a robe, ironing equipment and shower accessories which are provided regardless of your answer (what’s the point?!), 2 - the tremendous roar of the metro moving directly under the hotel every 15 minutes or so which will make you wonder if there’s a terrible thunder storm or an earthquake, 3 - a “rainfall” shower in the bathtub that requires bending over to get under thr water flow unless you are less than 1.5 meters tall. Did I mention the fact that the smell of sewage from the tub drain permeated the room and my entire experience? Now I have. Never again! At check out they had the nerve to say I should have contacted reception earlier with my complaints. To what end? Can you fire the management?

Your feedback is invaluable to us, and I assure you that we take your comments seriously as we strive to continuously improve our services.Upon reading your review, I am truly disheartened to learn about the inconveniences you suffered all stay long. I would like to address your concerns regarding the room assignment. Had we been made aware of your dissatisfaction during your stay, our team would have been more than willing to accommodate your request for a room on an upper floor with an upper ceiling shower setup. Your comfort and satisfaction are paramount to us, and we regret any oversight in not meeting these expectations from the outset.Regarding your feedback on the pre-stay survey, I acknowledge that the questions posed may have seemed redundant considering our standard offerings. This is the way to know better our guest’s needs before they come. Some facilities such as iron, for example, are not in the standards of some room categories (classic and superior) but we can put it in the room if needed. The guests like to have the first contact with the reception before they come. They are welcome to ask questions, and we are delighted to assist them in organizing their upcoming stay. It’s more personal. And, it isn’t mandatory to replay. However, we will review our survey process to ensure it adds value to all our guests' experiences in the future.Additionally, I want to assure you that we take plumbing issue seriously, and from this morning we are actively working to find the reason of this problem.Once again, I apologize for the inconveniences you experienced and thank you for bringing them to our attention.

Amazing service from the arranged pickup from the airport, to the great conversations at the desk from all staff members to the suggestions of places to see and where to eat, to the arranged return trip to airport. The location was perfect for the metro, shopping, historic landmarks and good restaurants. Safe & walkable district. We will be back to Paris and back to Opera Richepanse Hotel!

There is a train under the hotel passing every 5 minutes. The building is shaking! Walls are made of carton so you can hear the tv next room like if it was in your room. Windows are very old so you hear everything outside. We told the front desk and their answer was: you know Paris is a big city…! I would never recommend this hotel. Very disappointed. It was our honeymoon and for the price paid, it is insulting!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay. The staff was amazing! Smart, willing to assist and very friendly. Our room while it was cozy, had everything we needed or wanted. The one thing I would of added as a suggestion, would be to have either Netflix's or more english chanels. At the time of my stay which was last week the only english chanel was BBC. Many thanks again to the great staff! My husband and I will be back! Best.

On arrival no one helped with baggage I had to lug all bags up the few steps to get into the lobby, I even said is there no one to help with bags as I was standing in lobby as there were 2 people standing at front desk just look at me and didn’t help with bags. That annoyed me. The room was spacious but I had booked a bigger room. The beds are so uncomfortable like sleeping on concrete floors. I had the worst back pain from the bed. Do not stay on the first floor all the cigarette smoke from the cafe underneath will come into your room. There’s a train or something that runs all day/night so when you’re trying to sleep you’ll hear it pass by under you it shakes the room a bit. You can hear who’s staying above you also. They do turndown service which is nice and place a chocolate on bed. Located in good area walking distance to shopping (right around the corner) easy to get an Uber from hotel close to some tourist attractions within walking distance. Location is great. I wouldn’t stay here again. The pros location. Cons you won’t have a good nights sleep at all because of mattress and train/metro whatever is running underneath the hotel, the cigarette smoke that comes into your room from cafe and you hear the walking above you in hallways.

Fantastic hotel with great, central location

We flew in from Australia (a very long flight) and landed in Paris at approximately 7am. Due to heavy traffic, we arrived at the hotel at approximately 9am. Check in for the hotel was at 3pm, and we fully understood that we would be unable to get in to our room. We did however attend the property to drop our bags off and let the staff know that we were there. We had minimal sleep and had been unable to change our clothes for 30hrs, so we returned to the property at 1:45pm, hopeful that we may be able to get in to our room a little early. We were turned away, which we again took in our stride; aware that check in was 3pm. At 2:45pm we again returned, this time certain we would be admitted, but we’re again told check in was 3pm. Exhausted, we sat in the lobby and waited in front of staff. 3pm came, and no effort was made to let us know we could now check in. Frustrated, my partner requested we now be allowed to check in, and we were finally given our key. It is possible that the room was not ready at 2:45, however I find that unlikely. It instead felt like a disregard for our need for rest, and a ‘I told you 3pm’ attitude. Having travelled extensively, I have on multiple occasions arrived in cities earlier than check in, and whilst not expecting special treatment, have frequently been allowed to enter rooms ahead of time. In particular, staff are often keen to assist where possible and reasonable.

Dear Robert,We deeply and sincerely apologize on behalf of the hotel for the inconvenience you were faced with. Our receptionist did not wanted to feel you that way. Indeed, our check-in time is at 3pm and our check-out 12 noon. The hotel is fully booked every day in high season and unfortunately the previous guest left the hotel later than we expected Our Housekeeping team follows all procedure of cleaning and performs a deep control of rooms in order to offer a room properly clean for each guest arriving at the hotel. It's very important to us and it's only for that reason we was not able to offer you the early check-in. Please rest assured that our hotel highly values your feedback and your experience will be take into account during future evolutions and reposts.
