The location is perfect, especially for first-timers in Paris. We were able to get to everything so easily from here. The Madeleine metro stop was just a block or two from the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Quaint, comfortable, clean, convenient hotel in Sorbonne area of Paris near Notre Dame Cathedral. Easy to reach subway or metro, cafes, and tour buses. Would definitely stay there again. Helpful, friendly staff. Small room but well laid out with modern bathroom which was great.

6 nights to see some photo exhibitions. Hotel on good Metro line to Louvre and Chatelet making transport easy. Our courtyard facing room was very quiet. Loads of exhibitions on for Photo Paris all over the city. Great Christmas market on Champs Elysee, good atmosphere but a lot of overpriced rubbish on sale as in all markets.
La Defence worth a visit, good architecture, shops and food.
Not a lot of good food around hotel, some close early and nearer Gare du Nord a bit seedy
Gare du Nord and Gare de L' est only 10 minutes walk. A lot of street sleepers and beggars around stations but we were not bothered by them

It's your worst nightmare, travelling overseas own your own in a foreign country and becoming seriously ill. I became very unwell whilst I was at the hotel and I am very grateful to the owner of the hotel and his wonderful staff who kindly did their best to assist me in this unfortunate situation.
The hotel promptly arranged for an ambulance and assisted in translating my symptoms and condition to the paramedics who took me to the closest Emergency facility. They kindly looked after my luggage whilst I was in hospital for a month.
I am very grateful to the hotel owner and staff for their kind assistance in a situation which you don't expect on holiday but where I very much needed help.

This is the second time that my wife and I have stayed at Left Bank St.Germain and it was as good if not better than our previous stay. All of the hotel staff that we dealt with we're exceptional. The location is perfect, in an area where there are so many great restaurants and bars within a five minute stroll. Eat, drink and watch the Parisienne world go by. Perfect.

In North America Best Western is a brand you can rely on (in my opinion) for a stopover night when you miss your flight on when you want to catch some zzzz when driving cross country with kids. Our experience in Paris brought Best Western to a whole new level. Terrific decor, very friendly staff, and a huge room with coffered ceiling, coloured lighting system and sound system for the shower, seating area, view, and more. Wow.
