Great-once we got there!

Posted Oct 1, 2013
We were lucky to be rescued by another traveller in same situation who could shed some light on the process to actually he the room - a lot of trouble finding where to go as was different from original email instructions and we ended up walking around Paris looking for wifi...when we finally got there the room was great and we loved it! Just lost half a day trying to work out where to go.

Quick Paris Dash

Posted Sep 11, 2013
Pros: equipped room
Cons: customer service - treat for individuals travelling on foot
Location: lcoation was very dodgy! lots of homeless people lying on streets!
On understanding we had to pick up our keys first - after a trapse across the city that took an hour on foot and metro only to find we didnt even need a key! It was a code that could have been emailed or text to us! Not ideal at all as any person before would remember the code - didnt feel safe at all!

Good area, but lack of centralized office nearby

Posted Aug 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
The apartment was very spacious and met our needs. however because there is no office on site, problems cannot be immediately addressed. There is nowhere to wait while your room is not ready, no lobby with restrooms and nowhere to hold your bags. The office is about 10 mins drive away and is closed after 5 and on weekends...and at the office there was no working elevator and it was three floors up....dropping bags off there was not easy. The location basically sells itself, alot of cafes, restaurants and transport nearby.

Apartment - good / Bridgestreet - mixed bag

Posted Jul 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
My apartment (top floor, next-to-last door at 44 Rue Beauregard) was clean. The bed was a comfortable fold-out sofa. It was great to have a washing machine, and with no housekeeping service I just left clothes out to dry. I received instructions for key pick-up 48 hours before checking in. Picking up the keys was not hard, but definitely more complicated than a hotel. It was a 15-minute walk from the key pickup to the apartment. There was a typical narrow spiral staircase to get to the apartment; no elevator. This unit did NOT have A/C, contrary to the description on hotels.com, which begins "The 10 air-conditioned guestrooms at Bridgestreet Le Marais Service..." I got no response to an email asking how to work the A/C (hoping the heater had A/C AND heat). I did receive a prompt response when I emailed to ask how to check out (instructions were supposed to be on the back of the door, but were not). They were also very friendly and helpful when I called after forgetting the code to enter the building. The neighbors were loud at night mid-week. There was a sign in the stairwell asking for quiet, so it's probably an ongoing problem at this address. There was a storefront advertising live s e x shows just down the street, and there were hookers on surrounding streets. I would definitely stay in an apartment again, and POSSIBLY with Bridgestreet, but only if I could confirm the location of the apartment and verify that there was A/C in advance.

close to major sites

Posted Jul 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
The location was in a good neighborhood with easy access to metro and all major sites in central Paris. Check in was a bit difficult with key pick up several blocks from the actual apartments.

Excellent Staff

We book our hotel and the hotel we booked was not in use 2 days before our stay. The staff handle themselves appropriately and booked us to another location and discounted our stay for our troubles. Very repsonsive staff and friendly.

not a convenient location; inconvenient key pickup

It was ok. The bathroom shower had soap mildew in the corner. The furniture wasn't very comfortable. The kitchen was cute and the beds were comfortable. But, it was off the beaten path.
