Reception staff were kind and helpful. Location is excellent. Near metro station. If you walk to the one closer to the MacDonald you can buy train tickets there. The one closer to rue chalingny street doesn’t have tickets it’s just an entrance and exit. I bought a day pass for 8.50 euros….and it finished at midnight. U can jump on any metro as many times as you want. Gare Du Lyon train station also near. If you have lasted suitcase you need an Uber can’t walk it - Uber cost me 10 euros to the station. There are many supermarkets mini Marta close by. Apartment is well equipped kitchen. Lacked cooking utensils though like spatula and spoons..other than that it was fine. Note there is no AC - so it was pretty hot. Had a fan though. There is no cleaning service - u have to go to reception and ask for extra things like towels and toilet paper. It’s in a great location walking distance to Bastille and Gare Du Lyon…lots of restaurants etc. unit was a little dated.

Avoid this hotel
The advertisement for this hotel is absolutely misleading. The pictures are NOTHING like the reality. The rooms and corridors are filthy. On the first night we had no power for 3hrs and nobody in reception knew how to resolve.

Cons: The interior is dirtier than the photos post online. Saw a big and obvious stain on the bed sheet when we open the room door and asked them to change the sheet right away. Weird odor comes out from the fridge. Air flow is not very good. A lot of mosquitoes flies in when we open the window. Non smoking building but the guests who live beneath us smoke in the balcony at night and made our room smells even worse. Although this may not be the hotel’s fault. Pros: The front desk employees are friendly and answer all the questions. The location is very good and convenient. Plenty of restaurants, grocery stores and metro line in the area.

Overall Experience
Cleanliness was fine. The location was convenient for us. A wash basin in the toilet room is urgently needed. Also providing mirrors in the bed room would be helpful. Providing safety bars/handles in the shower stall is needed for safety, specially for older or people with some physical limitations.

Being on line 1 of the metro was good. Breakfast room was closed but that was due to Covid. My room was outside the main corridor and that worried me a bit as i had to access a door to get into the corridor each day. I was always concerned in case the card didn't work. I was glad to have staff always at the front desk. Some properties have virtual checkin, which I don't like.

Perfect place to stay! A two minute walk to a Metro station, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Our studio was meticulously clean (and we did check, as we're both somewhat neurotic about cleanliness), with everything we needed (including a microwave, hob, hairdryer, fan, television, lockable safe and more) and the staff were very friendly and helpful, speaking to us in fluent English when our beginner's French failed us (which was often). We'll definitely be staying here again.

Good hotel with extra space and kitchen
Larger room than expected. Last minute reservation and only stayed a brief night. The front desk helped with getting us a taxi for an early flight. Fire alarm went off at night which woke us up due to someone cooking in their kitchen.

The front of the property is completely covered in scaffolding and curtain netting/metal gutters to catch falling debris so I would recommend avoiding the rooms on the street until renovation is complete (6 months over the low season 2019/2020). I requested a move to a room at the back of the property and was given an apartment overlooking the garden which was absolutely lovely. The concierge team are helpful, courteous and tolerant of tourists with poor French language skills.

Tired rooms but good staff
Staff at reception very friendly and helpful The room was not very clean and both light bulbs broke in the bathroom in the evening so we had no lights all night which didn’t help with young children The rooms above and next door were noisy too.. Location wise was good

Don’t stay here
This hotel is dirty and gross. I’m shocked by all the great reviews. You only get housekeeping on the 6th night if you stay that long. Otherwise no clean towels. There’s also no AC so be prepared to have your window open and smell everything from your neighbors who are right next door. The rooms smelled like mildew and the fold out couch smelled like cigarette smoke. The front desk staff is rude and unhelpful. This really isn’t a great deal for this area, I think you can find much better places if you keep looking. We regret staying here.

Would stay again.
Wonderful relaxing apartment style hotel. Kitchenette in room with 3 supermarkets in one block radius meant we could eat in if we wanted. Perfect area - a short trip on the Metro line to the main tourist destinations without staying in a tourist area. Really kind and helpful reception staff - helped with all of our requests with a smile. Would stay again next week!

Worst value per dollar possible
Although the staff was nice, and the rooms were spacious, this place is the worst value for my money I have ever spent in my life. I paid 225 Euros per night for a place that was less nice and had less amenities than hotels in Paris I have stayed where I have paid 80 EUR a night. The building is in mediocre condition. There is no air conditioning. No daily room cleaning service. The breakfast is mediocre and overpriced. The Internet was excruciatingly slow, making it impossible to work from the hotel. There is a general feeling of thriftiness and cost-cutting at the consumer's expense for a room which is already severely overpriced.

Our check in girl was super sweet. She explained everything clearly. Mattresses were way to hard and we didnt have a top sheet on our bed. It would have been nice to have fresh towels to our room since our room was never cleaned. Also, bathroom had a funky smell.
