Great hotel for couples and older families.Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: The hotel is in a superb location: metro across the road, Monoprix about a 10 metre walk, great restaurant (Café du Commerce) on Rue du Commerce.
Location: Metro across the road; Monoprix about a 10 metre walk; great restaurant (Café du Commerce) on Rue du Commerce; Eiffel Tower about a 10 minute walk.
Third time staying here, which says a lot in itself. The hotel is clean and comfortable, with good kitchen facilities for those who want to try out the food from the markets instead of eating in restaurants all the time. From what I've seen of other reviews, the only negative ones seem to be from people who have no idea what you get in a 3-star Apart-Hotel. They have the deluded idea that they are going to get 5-star services in a 3-star hotel. This hotel is excellent. The staff are great. The location cannot be faulted. This has become our hotel of choice in Paris, and we will definitely be staying here again. Nuff said!!

Weekend getawayPosted Jul 29, 2014
Great location, with cafe's and shop surrounding and metro across the road. Eiffel Tower only a 5-10 minute walk away and views from our room. Very happy

The pictures on Expedia show renovated rooms!Posted Jul 16, 2014
The room we received was not renovated. Although the room was large, it was extremely run down and had a bad odour. The location was not in rough part of town.

Nice Hotel and Staff...Great Location!Posted Jun 16, 2014
Cons: Housekeeping is not offered unless you stay more than 5 nights. You do have access to more towels, soap, etc but need to get it yourself.
Location: Eiffel Tower and is in front of the GRenelle Train Station, which can take you to a bunch of different locations (Versailles, Charles Gaulle...ETC....
Although the rooms aren't as the pics show. The rooms are clean and offer a small kitchen and bathroom. Is more apartment style than hotel. The location for us was GREAT, walking distance from the Eiffel Tower - which is about 15 minutes but this is Europe! The staff was very nice and accommodating.

Room not as expectedPosted Jun 11, 2014
Pros: Hotel Staff was very nice and helpful.
Cons: Update bed and sofa bed. Clean the curtains, update carpet, bathroom and kitchen.
Location: Subway is right outside of door and easy to use. Lots of restaurants in the area.
Staff was very nice and helpful! There is a laundry room for anyone needing to do laundry - cost is 9 Euros to do 1 wash and 1 dry. My disappoint was with the room. It was very dated (old), smelly and bed was extremely hard. The pictures on Expedia in no way depict how the room actually look. Hotel is close to subway and Eiffel Tower.

Central but not overrun by tourists!!Posted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: Location away from crazy tourist areas yet has great access by Metro to all areas of interest
Cons: Cleaning staff need to remember to knock before opening the door - they walked in on me without at least a knock and I was half dressed!
Location: Opposite great Metro station La Motte Picquet Grenelle which has 3 metro lines running thru it Monoprix grocery store 2 doors up, McDonalds next door
I stayed at Citadines Tour Eiffel for 9 nights all up, originally booking in for 6 nights then extending my stay for a further 3 nights as I was attending Roland Garros 2014. Speaking of which, this hotel is only 6 stops from Roland Garros on the same Metro line. The rooms are smallish but not tiny, the kitchenette being the best addition to the room. Bathroom clean & functional. The location was great, this was my 3rd visit to Paris (2nd since 2011) and the Grenelle area was not overrun by tourists by some of the more popular areas like Louvre, Opera, etc. The Metro station (La Motte Piquet Grenelle) is literally across the road so you don't have to walk far to the hotel (great if you get home late). It has 3 different metro lines running through it making it easy access to Champs Elysees, Opera, Louvre etc. and as I said previously, Roland Garros. There is a McDonalds next door, a Monoprix grocery store across from that so food isn't far at all. Blvd de Grenelle has plenty of restaurants to choose from within an easy walk - eg. Thai, Italian, Lebanese, Japanese, Crepes, etc. Shopping - if you want to avoid the crazy crowds and tourists near Opera (Galeries Lafayette) catch the Metro instead to Gare Montparnasse (direct line from Grenelle) where there is a less frantic Galeries store along with a great selection of shops under one roof. Finally, the reception staff at Citadines were very helpful and spoke excellent English. Cleaners were a bit gruff.
