Nice hotel close to Opera areaPosted Feb 22, 2014
Pros: Services from staffs and location.
Cons: If they renovate rooms like the lobby, it would be great.
Hotel staffs are very friendly and kindly when they took care of us. Hotel facility is old but the lobby space was huge and comfortable. Standard twin bed room we stayed was small but it was maintained clean during our stay. Entire hotel facility was kept clean. Wireless access to Internet in our room was bit slow but stabled. The location is very convenient to access for Opera, Madeleine, Concord area. Also easy to get on Metro. Taxi was always waiting for a customer in front of the lobby. Doorman booked a taxi for me with appropriate timing for departure.

Very enjoyable hotel in central locationPosted Feb 21, 2014
We are a couple with a young toddler. We booked a suite for our stay and after reading some of the reviews were a little worried. However we had a great time and the hotel was ideal for us. The staff were excellent making us feel very welcome, our son was given a cuddly toy on arrival which made him very happy (and it came everywhere with us!). Other plus points include great location being within walking distance to all major sights, there are a number of cafés and restaurants nearby and the entrance hall of the hotel is very grand. The room was a good size and being on the 5th floor had amazing views of the top of the Eiffel Tower at night. The only slight negative was that the rooms are slightly dated however they are very clean and the hotel has pointed out on another post they are starting refurbishments this year. Overall we were very pleased and would go there again.

Good location, room average, drinks expensivePosted Feb 6, 2014
Cons: Decor and drink prices.
Location: Very central, easy access to Opera district and only about a 10 min walk to the Tulleries.
Great location being right next door to Gare St Lazare and walking distance to many good restaurants. Room was very tired though and bathroom, although large, had many broken tiles and looked scruffy because of it. There are noisy building works going on right outside, but thankfully the double glazing does work well. Big disappointment was the extortionate price for drinks, not only in the bar, but minibar in the room as well. Expected more in terms of room quality and size and so was a bit disappointed.

Pros: Central location and easy access, good size rooms
Cons: Refresh the rooms with new furniture and fittings
Location: Easy for the metro and train stations, shopping and Olympia
Easy to get to hotel from airport and central to activities that I wanted to see and do. Only let down was some of the fittings and furnishings were a little dated. Excellent size of room and staff helpful and friendly throughout the stay. Would chose to stay here again but would expect the rooms to be updated for the price

Nice LocationPosted Jan 14, 2014
When I stayed here, I booked a classic room and was told by the front desk that the bed would be a large double bed, however, when we entered the room, this was not the case. The bed was rather small and our view was looking out onto a wall; there was a fan directly outside our room that kept us up at night. We would have kept the windows closed to reduce the sound, however as it was so hot in the room, we could not. On our second night, we discovered a mouse in our room while we were sleeping and were told we would be able to move rooms. Our second room was defiantly an improvement and we were glad we were able to change. However, the staff did not seem concerned at our distress at the time. The prices for the room service was very high and for every dish you order, there will be an additional 5 Euro charge. However, there are many places you can go outside to eat. The Metro is right outside as well, which is very handy and the hotel is located in Central Paris near all the tourist attractions.

Great locationPosted Jan 12, 2014
Pros: Great location. Staff at check-in counter and concierge very friendly. Room was comfortable and clean.
Cons: Toilet to be heated or have heated bars for warm towels.
Location: near train station and walking distances to major shopping and sight-seeing attractions.
Read the mixed reviews and was somewhat concerned before check in. However, found the hotel located very near to the train station, and walking distances to many key attractions. The room was comfortable, faced the courtyard thus the room not noisy. The room was a little warm and had to open the window for cool air. On the while, our one night stay was very pleasant and would definitely stay here again for our next trip to Paris.

Pros: Excellent staff and great location.
This was my second time staying at the Concorde Opera in Paris. I adore this hotel! The staff are absolutely the best! They are consistently friendly and helpful, not to mention multilingual. The grand lobby is lovely and the rooms are comfortable. I found the room service to be very satisfying. The hotel's location is great. There is a Metro station at the nearest corner from which you can easily get to anywhere in the city. It is easy walking distance to the "Grands Magasins" department stores Au Printemps and Les Galeries Lafayette, as well as the Louvre and the Champs Elysees. There are a variety of places to eat within a block or two as well as a couple of pharmacies if you are in need. The Concorde Opera is my home in Paris : )
