“Will stay there again”
We were extremely satisfied with the hotel. My main criteria in a good hotel is cleanliness, and it was very clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful and we loved the location next to Rue Moufftard. We walked all over the city from our hotel too. We had a room on the street side and could see Notre Dame peering out the window and up the street. Of course the room was small, and the mattress was just fair, but for clean, convenient and great service at a good price, it's excellent. I would definitely stay there again!
“Quite disappointed”
As soon as I booked my "Unpublished Hotel" booking I looked it up on the internet and was disappointed. Once we arrived, we were met at the counter by a surly staff member that never made eye contact. We went up to our room that didn't have room to walk and have bags on the floor. I've lived in Tokyo and understand small, but this hotel in general was over priced compared to what we saw as we strolled around. The rooms were worn-we stayed in two different rooms. Great location. The last day we had a very helpful staff person arrange our transport.
“Clean but very dull”
Guest rooms are small and very dull.
“"No complaints"”
Des Nations St Germain is a nice hotel just down the street from the busy St Germain area. It is close to attractions and convenient to the train station. Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff that spoke very good English as they heard we did not speak French well. Our room was as expected from the description online, small but tidy and a spacious, clean bathroom. The shower was not an issue as it seemed to be at other hotels. Good hot water and pressure. We were given a map as we left for the day and suggestions of how to start our adventure in town. All of the staff that we met were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to other budget conscience travelers.
“Room is too small”
The room and bathroom are very very very small. If you have more than two luggage choose another hotel. It will not fit in the room. The location is nice and very close to subway station. The internet is not free but works pretty well. It is the classical french hotel. Breakfast are very good but a little bit expensive but a few meters ahead there is a food store where you can buy everything.
“Do not go”
I'm really upset Expedia even has this hotel on its listings. It calls itself as a 3 star hotel when it's more like a hostel. If you are planing a nice gateway your plans will be ruined the minute you check in to this hotel.
“I loved this place”
Located on Rue Monge in the 5eme, Des Nations St Germain is in the heart of the city. A short walk on Rue Rollins and you're at the Place de la Contrescarpe, a very beautiful area with some great cafes and bars. For those looking for a good location near the museums and catherdals, though would like to return to a quiet street, this is the place for you. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. A very short walk to the Jardin des Plantes, a great sanctuary and escape for those who need a short break from exploring this beautiful city. I plan on returning soon.
“nice, convenient, helpful, but room size small for the price”
Pleasant, helpful staff. Good location. Room rather small for the price, but clean, efficient.
