“Lovely rooms, but some problems....”

This is a pleasant hotel in a location that some might like. The staff were pleasant and helpful. However, out guide book said that breakfast was included. We we're not informed by the hotel that this was not the case, until we checked out. Also, the air conditioning was not working for the four days we stayed at the hotel. When we mentioned that our room was quite warm, we were then offered a fan. No price reduction was offered, and we were told that no air conditioned rooms were available; only part of the hotel was affected by the problem with the air conditioner. After a number of weeks in pleasant surroundings in France, we did not have the energy to express our disappointment to the hotel.
