Nice Hotel near Gare du NordPosted Mar 26, 2014
Pros: Hotel staff spoke good English and courteous. Room that we stayed was small but adequate and clean.
Cons: Wi-Fi was not working for a couple of days. Our room was on the 4th floor but I don't know if it had any factor. It worked on our first day.
Location: Convenient Metro access from the hotel. Paris Canal Saint Martin is on Metro Line #7 and one can get to Stalingrad station and stroll down the Canal.
Golden Hotel Paris is relatively close to the central Paris activities. You can either take a metro commute from Poissonniere station or Cadet Station on Metro Line #7. If you happened to go to Gare Nord, be reminded that there are some con-artists who want to assists you as "information." Please search for blogs about these jerks who prey on the tourists because this major station is the first stop from CDG.

Excellent value and super friendly staff.Posted Mar 19, 2014
The hotel has a great location next to a metro line, a super friendly staff, clean and attractive rooms, and a great price. The rooms are a bit small, but that is standard for Europe and for this price range. I would definitely stay here again.

Basic hotel in central ParisPosted Mar 11, 2014
Pros: Nice friendly staff. Tasteful decor. Central location.
Cons: The shower needs to be bigger. It needs a proper wardrobe. There is nowhere to sit comfortably in the room.
Location: Metro or walk to all Paris attractions.
The hotel is well-situated for Metro. The room was small. The wardrobe was so small that I couldn't hang a suit in it. There was no comfortable chair. The bathroom was very cramped. In particular, the shower cabin was far too small.

Great little hotel!Posted Oct 2, 2013
Close to all transport links with some lovely patisseries and cafes on the doorstep. We didn't pay for breakfast but there are cafes across the road offering coffee, juice and croissants for a fraction of the price. The room and beds were very comfortable and cleaned daily. I would definitely recommend this little gem.

Comy beds and small bathroomPosted Sep 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
It was very easy to get to the hotel from Gare du Nord, about a 15 minute walk with cases. Staff were very helpful with information about travel around Paris. Our room was clean and serviced daily. We felt that it was quite small; it was very hot at night even with the window open and this was in mid September; there was a fan available. The bathroom was really small and using the toilet was not easy. The shower over the bath had no curtain and so the floor got soaked while having a shower. The location was excellent for the metro, Cadet was a few minutes walk and an excellent line (line 7) for getting to attractions. There were many bars and restaurants in the area and we ate locally most nights.

happy customerPosted Aug 21, 2013
The hotel and staff were very helpful and accommodating. No question was too much and the staff were very polite and welcoming. The room was chic and hotel in a good location within ten mins walk of the gare du nord and the opera house. Would recommend this hotel to all!!!

Not what expectedPosted Jun 27, 2013
Pros: Leaving it after our 6 days were up.
Cons: Replace all carpets in hallways and stairs. Fresh coat of paint in hallways. Our room had carpet, replace it with wood as shown in the photo.
Location: Nothing to do in the direct area. Need to take 15 minute walk to get to better part of Opera area (by Galleries Layfette)
No air conditioning - don't even consider during June to Sept. Windows that open to the street are very noisey. Windows that open to the back get a restaurant's kitchen oily exhaust fumes. Our room did not look like what is seen in the photos. Very tiny. Needs a frest coat of paint and shampooing of the carpets. Maids left vacuum cleaner in skinny hallway all day, yet didn't seem to want to use it in our room during our six night stay. After we first arrived, we wanted to cancel and go to another hotel, but they offered no refunds (not even a partial refund from our 6 nights pre-paid). We arrived in the morning. They were not able to secure our luggage in a back room, they just left them in the dining area. This was our first and last time staying at a 3 Star hotel.

Mixed FeelingsPosted Jun 10, 2013
The room was very small. There was no view to the outside. The room looked into other buildings, which were quite close. Most of the staff were very good. When we arrived, I needed to see a dentist as quickly as possible. The man on the desk made an appointment for me, a few doors away and an hour and a half after arriving. However, the man on the desk when we were leaving, insisted that our room had not been paid for. Even when I showed him my receipt saying 'Amount Collected by Expedia', he insisted on ringing the manager to check. This took some time, and when he finally agreed that we had paid, there was no apology for holding us up. The location of the hotel is good - close to a metro station and near many good restaurants.

Great hotel and service!Posted Jun 5, 2013
Pros: Very friendly staff. The hotel itself was just what I pictured staying at in Paris. Very picturesque & cute rooms!
Cons: The showers are quite tiny, but I managed just fine.
Location: Great location. Within walking distance of everything from dining to shopping. The metros were very close as well.
Absolutely adorable room! Everything was very clean and well kept. Staff was very friendly and helpful my whole stay!
