Nice and noisy hotel.Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: Near 4 subway lines and near Bastille, a very chic place to go out.
Cons: Breakfast is expensive (like in all parisian hotels). Bathroom: I flooded it every time I took a shower. Put a curtain. Hairdryer: dead.
Location: Very animated Rue de la Roquette with restaurants and Théâtre de la Bastille. If you don't like that, take one of the many 'métro' lines near.
Even if one of the receptionists (the not nice one) decided that I didn't need the room with the king size bed that I had reserved on Expedia, the rest of the personnel was extremely kind. The room had an excellent view on Av. Ledru Rollin and it was always clean.

Excellent rooms.Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: Clean rooms. Good location.
Cons: One member of the Reception team could be trained in reception skills.
Location: There are two Metro stations close to the hotel so the whole of Paris is within easy reach.
Excellent room, clean and well serviced. One member of the Reception team was incredibly unwelcoming and is the only reason why I would not recommend this hotel to a friend. I had to deal with him when I was checking-in and checking-out of the hotel and on both occasions he displayed a lack of manners and gave a very bad impression of your hotel.

Nice hotelPosted Aug 3, 2014
The hotel was nice a little smaller than i thought ...the night time receptionist was very warm and welcoming ...it was very close to the metro which took you straight to the Eiffel tower

Good central hotelPosted Jul 22, 2014
Lovely staff- bars and restaurants close- right next to the metro so easy to get everywhere. Only issue is no aircon in the room- we were really lucky with good weather so slightly melted! Would recommend.

Nice and basicPosted May 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was alright. The room was small (but typical of Paris) and the bathroom was dated. In fact the shower screen did not go to meet the bath so water drips straight on the floor. With no drainage and no heater the water doesn't evaporate. For a small bathroom it was annoying. The bathtub was nice. We were on the first floor and the hallway smelt like smoke, although the room didn't. It was a noisy room and you could hear guests in other rooms. All in all it was good for the price in Paris but only in Paris.

Cheaper hotel .. Close to Metro Station "Voltaire"Posted May 13, 2014
Cons: Quality of lift.
Location: Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysee, Notre dam, Lourve and all the historical buildings are very near ..
If you can spend about 20 dollars more than what you'll pay for the the dorm for a night, this place is a good choice. It's clean, private, close to the metro station "Voltaire" and all attractions of Paris are easily accessible in mostly inside 20 minutes (including the walk from hotel to the metro station) .. A nice Tunisian Halal food restaurant is 10 minutes walk away have good options for sandwiches and pizzas .. Overall, its a budget and a clean place to stay with friendly staff and good internet. But don't pay more than 75 Dollars if a 4 bed dorm is for 50 dollars and so on ..

Good value for the moneyPosted May 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
Typical of Paris, a small but efficient room to stay in. Does not have AC so would'nt want to be there in the summer. Desk staff extremely helpful during the day, but night crew not so great. Room was small but comfortable; shower was very small and hard to climb into, but that's Paris. Located not in heart of Paris but in cool enough area to go out and enjoy. Would recommend as a bit above average and worth the money

NicePosted Mar 12, 2014
Hotel was nice. I would recommend. The only downfall is the key situation. They have you turn your key in at the front desk upon leaving to go out. When you return they give it back which isn't a problem unless you return and they are helping someone. We got stuff waiting for about 5-10 mins to get out room key. Slightly annoying

Clean but noisyPosted Mar 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
We didn't have the greatest experience but I could see how someone might. Clean rooms. No amenaties. Good size room for Paris. Don't have them order you a taxi as it will cost you twice as much. The cleaning ladies were very noisy and there was renovations going on in the building next to us.

Grand Hotel Nouvel OperaPosted Feb 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
Room was compact but all I needed for space. Shower was a small - it is a good thing I am skinny or else wouldn't have been able to fit through the shower door. Walls were very thin so could hear everyone around me, annoying especially being right outside the elevator. Otherwise, wifi worked well and it was a greet location right between Voltaire and Ledru-Rollin metro stops.
