Wonderful, well located hotelPosted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: The hotel was great, we asked for a nice view and had a window that opened out onto the Sorbone university. It is minutes away from the Metro, RER and
Cons: Although the hotel offered coffee, tea and cake in the foyer in the afternoon it's would have been nice to have facilities for this in our own room.
Location: Luxembourg gardens where a lovely place to relax and where literally minutes Way as was the Pantheon. Notre Dame was also just a short 8 minute walk.
We enjoyed a few days in Paris staying on the border of the Latin Quarter. The area was full of cafés, bars and restaurants offering something for everyone's tastes. I now need to arrange another trip so I can visit some of the places wedding have time to eat at this time around

Pros: nice location,nice hotel
Cons: rooms are small
Nice hotel, excellent location,in the center of Paris, near 3 metros (Luxembourg ,St-Michel,and Cluny-la Sorbonne),30 min direct from Charles de Gaulles airport by train(airport to luxembourg metro). We had 2 rooms. One room is really small with a very small bathroom with bath(neat and tidy though) We cannot be 2 people in the bathroom at the same time. The other room is a little bit bigger with a shower.Bed is soft and perfect. No coffee machine.Breakfast can be found easily across the street in many "croissanteries"

Perfect locationPosted Aug 13, 2014
Cons: An included or more affordable breakfast would really set this hotel apart. Maybe just offer a few less items.
Location was in a quiet area but near Luxembourg Garden and many nice restaurants and shops. You could easily walk to many major destinations such as The Louvre, Notre Dame, Musee D'Orsay. Breakfast was good but you can get just as good for half the price at a nearby cafe or bakery. Room was not too small, very clean, new, and comfortable. We stayed for three nights and loved it!

Comfort in the Latin Quarter, with attentive staffPosted Aug 10, 2014
The GHSM provides clean and romantic rooms with wonderful balcony views of the Sarbonne rooftops. The staff speaks very good English, will assist you with everything you need: reservations, dry cleaning, directions. Central to everything Paris - most important, we would stay here again.

Great hotel - great locationPosted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Rooms are larger than most Paris hotels and there is really good air-conditioning. Reception staff are very helpful and friendly.
Location: See above
This hotel is in an ideal location for seeing Paris. It is in a quiet side street, but only 5 minutes walk to several metro stations. The Museum of the Middle Ages, the Pantheon, the Sorbonne and the Luxembourg Gardens are less than 5 minute's walk. We stayed there during a heat wave and it was so nice to come back to an air-conditioned room. Some hotels say they are air-conditioned, but the rooms are not very cold - the Grand St Michel had super efficient air conditioning. The hotel staff were excellent and very welcoming. The only thing I would change slightly is the breakfast - it needed a few more choices. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Paris.

Great hotel in the heart of Paris!Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: From this hotel we could walk all over central Paris.
Location: The Sorbonne and Pantheon are one block away and the Luxembourg Gardens were only three short block from the hotel.
The hotel is on the small size with 47 modern rooms. All the staff members were helpful and very friendly. I would recommend the Grand Hotel Saint Michel to anyone.

great but not quite as advertised!Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: It was a great place to stay with my 18 yr old - lots of young people around, can walk to many attractions and 3 metro lines close by.
Location: Pantheon, Notre Dame, St Chappelle, Luxemburg Gardens, St Germain, Pont des Arts, Rue de Mouffetard all close by. Sooo many cafes and brasseries!
Loved staying at this hotel- great location, clean, comfortable modern rooms, fantastic staff! No room service and no massages available in house, but so many things nearby. With so many petit dejeuner available 2 mins away, not sure why anyone would pay triple for the hotel breakfast.

Exceptional StaffPosted Jun 11, 2014
The hotel air conditioning was broken for 3 days... Our mini frige was broken and had to be replaced... My boyfriend and I both had a case of foot fungus develop from the shower. Room was small but comfortable and visually appealing. The hotel staff was exceptionally polite and tried their best to accommodate us with any issues or concerns.
