Nice hotel hotel, good location.

Not a four star hotel. Internet while free was really bad. So bad we couldn't use our voice over IP solution to call home. This caused us some significant extra costs.

Fantastic, clean and modern hotel close to metro

Posted Jun 28, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Ice dispenser
Location: Very close to metro station for easy access to all areas. Recommend Saint Michael area only a few stations on the metro 4 line.
Hotel staff were fantastic. It was our anniversary and they upgraded us and arranged for flowers in the room. Emailed the hotel several times before we left and they couldn't have been more helpful.

Hotel - Location

Posted Jun 3, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms were relatively small and bathrooms not made to give privacy when there are more than 1 person in the room.
Location: good restaurants and good access to fruit stand, dessert shop and metro stations.
Friendlier than most Parisiens. Good location - close to 2 Metro stations.

Location is great, but hospitality is lacking.

We arrived on a Saturday, excited for our first visit to Paris. But the room was hot and the thermostat wasn't working. The front desk said they had no maintenance man until Monday. Promptly Monday morning I went down to ask. The desk said the hotel had the winter system on and the ac wouldn't work. Our friends' rooms were cold so I figured something was up. They transferred is to a much smaller room but it seemed cooler. The next morning, I said we should get some money back for being in such a small room. They upgraded us to a beautiful executive suite, where we stayed until we left. The other issue with customer service had to do with the bar manager. We had bought some wine one evening and asked if we could have glasses. We were given 4 and happily went to our room and visited with our friends. The next night we bought a corkscrew and used the glasses in our room and all was well. The next evening we asked for glasses and were told that was against the policy of the hotel. Huh? I am paying good money and am not stealing. We asked if we could have plastic glasses: nope. Then our cork screw broke, so I asked if we could borrow a corkscrew and bring it right back. Again the answer was no, but I could bring it down and he would open it for us. When I brought the bottle down, he acted like it was such an inconvenience and he was doing me a favour. The location was great, but for a Holiday Inn, I expected much more.

The stay here went well. Only problem at all was that the language on the pricing for breakfast in the room was a bit confusing. But otherwise, a pretty nice stay.

Location: Many cafes and stores around, and a pretty nice neighborhood.
The location is perfect and close to everything. A couple of different metro stations just a few blocks, and pretty much everything within 15-20 minute walk. The rooms are big for european hotels, the breakfast is pretty complete, and the staff is very helpful and nice.

Pros: Rooms, location and breakfast buffet
Location: great street market 3 days a week 500 yards away, really good on a Sunday morning, loads of naughty food!
Spent a long weekend here, and would return. Rooms recently refurbished and well appointed. It is in a great location, walking distance to loads of nice spots Montparnasse, Boulevard St Germain and Odeon. Good metro access to Gare du Nord for Eurostar, Breakfast buffet is €18 and there are several cafes locally that are cheaper for a snack, but if you have time and commit to it in advance for more than one day, you can get it for €12 which is better value. It is a good buffet for France.
