Inflexible hotel managerPosted Nov 19, 2014
Cons: Customer relations.
A good experience in terms of the accommodations and service. Good for the price. We were very disappointed, however, with their inability to make a reasonable exception to the 48-hour cancelation policy. I fell ill and needed to cancel, called with well over 24 hours notice and they charged us anyway, refusing to be accommodating. I would ordinarily have canceled within the given time frame but was very sick (we are currently on our way home early because of it.)

Met Our ExpectationsPosted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Quiet, friendly staff, free wi-fi
Cons: better pillows
We found this hotel well located in a quiet part of town but within walking distance to all the major sites. The room was somewhat dated, it was clean and comfortable for a weekend stay.

Quaint HotelPosted Jul 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed only one night. The hotel is located in a artsy area of Paris. I was not familiar with Paris when I booked this hotel but was happy with our choice. The rooms are very tiny but clean and comfortable. I wouldn't stay here for more than a night due to the size of the room. There are plenty of restaurants surrounding the hotel; from Thai to Ukrainian cuisine. The area seems to come to life after 7pm.

Great location - clean and simple.Posted Jul 20, 2014
Very clean, simple room. Comfortable bed / great AC room unit. Very bare bones but a great place to rest weary bodies at night. Quiet street, easy access metro. Incredibly affordable. No restaurant which is fine - only negative is related to the bathroom they are quite out of date and the shower is very awkward (impossible to not back into the handle which either scalds you or shuts it off) and ours didn't drain well so you had to rush to make sure it didn't overflow. Otherwise it was great. Would stay again!!

A very useful hotel indeedPosted Jul 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
This was my third stay at this nicely renovated, quiet and conveniently situated hotel. The only negatives are: 1: you can be left on the doorstep for a short while before the door is activated (even at 5pm); 2: some of the guests raided the breakfast buffet and blatantly made up substantial packed lunches - they even came with aluminium foil at the ready. The buffet was replenished, but such behaviour needs to be discouraged!

Broken lift & air con, unhelpful staff marred stayPosted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness. Reasonably comfortable (apart from problems noted).
Cons: Staff attitude - staff should feel they are there to help and to ensure guests have a pleasant stay. Maintenance - lift, air con.
Upon arrival told lift broken and our room on 5th floor. My wife has hip problem, so I explained 5th floor out of the question. Also no one to help with luggage (only one staff on reception). Receptionist found us room on 2nd floor (why not offer that in the first place?). Room seemed fine until air con had been running for several mins when it suddenly started gushing water. We now realised bed beneath air con was soaked. We requested another room change. Receptionist found us second room nearby, but our family party of three was now split between two rooms. Receptionist on this day concerned on our behalf and did all she could to help - and said management should at least offer us complimentary breakfast. Next morning, we requested new triple room, so family could be reunited. Receptionist at first totally unhelpful and behaved as though situation a joke - said further room change impossible and complimentary breakfast not offered. Shortly thereafter, she called back to say new room found and breakfast offered. Breakfast (for which we paid on following day) rather meagre and overpriced. On later day, requested tea bags (cleaner had not replenished) and was told max one per person (!), though staff then relented and gave handful. On day of departure, trains were on strike. We asked receptionist if Eurostar affected. She checked website and repeatedly insisted no Eurostar running. We subsequently found Eurostar was running normally - receptionist had looked at wrong page.

Fabulous and fun short break in Paris with friendsPosted Jun 16, 2014
Just returned from a lovely 3 night stay in Paris. Chose hotel for its position and great price - not disappointed at all. Very close to Folies Bergere and Grands Boulevard so plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. Also great for Metro and 10 mins walk from Gare du Nord. Staff very welcoming, rooms beautifully clean and well serviced. Overall a little gem and delighted to have found it - will definitely use again.

Lovely hotelPosted Apr 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
Very nice hotel in quiet street in Paris near Opera House area where there's plenty of cafes and restaurants, theatres etc. Very convenient staying here as it's only a few minutes walk to Opera RER station plus short taxi ride to get eurostar train to London. Large comfortable bed plus bathroom even had a large bath. Small extra area with desk and enough room for a fold up bed here too. Breakfast was a bit overpriced so didn't have this after the first morning.

The hotel room is dated specially the bathroom. The bathroom is so tight that when you use the shower, you end up hitting the cold/hot knob all the time because it is situated to your side not in front of you which should be under the shower head. The width is so narrow that you cant move. If you need to contact the front desk, the phones are not activated. You will need to pay extra for them to hook up the phone.During our stay, the fire alarm sounded, so we were concerned because theres no way of finding out as to what is going on so the guy from the front desk has to go to every floor to tell all the customers that since the hotel is a non-smoking Hotel, somebody had smoked in the room and set off the alarm at 3:00am. I dont think I want to stay in that hotel again. The personal service of the people that works there is excellent but its the up keeping and the basic convenience like the phone in the hotel is a huge disappointment for me.
