“Will stay there next time in Paris”

Very friendly and helpful staff - with 24 hour desk. Rooms cleaned every day. Excellent breakfast included. Great location for the Montmartre district of Paris. 20 minute walk from Gare du Nord, 10 minutes from Barbès-Rochechouart (Metro Station). All in all, fantastic area of Paris to be in

“Modest place but clean with good location at city”

The maintenance is not really good ( some walls require some paint) but who cares!!!...we just used it for sleep,get clean and leave our lugagge. The place is decente,nothing fancy, so if you have in mind you just traveling and you're not living, I guess the place is OK. I will recomendaded. People who works there are very helpful.

“Great value in Paris”

This hotel is in a some what dirty and rowdy neighborhood, but not a moment that I was concerned about safety. Hotel is one block from metro. Bakery and grocery store nearby. Very convenient and great value. Spiral stairwell without an elevator is a red flag for those not able to get their bags up the stairwell, but that can be alleviated by asking someone to help.

“Clean, pleasant decor, great value accommodation for sight-seers”

Was a bit worried seeing as this rated only one star and expected a flea hole. Was very pleasantly surprised. Concierge was very friendly and spoke English. Hotel is a little tricky to get to. Suggest arriving by taxi with a GPS (which we did so no problems). Once settled, head south, turn left at Boulevard Barbet and you are at Marcadet Poissonniers Metro. From here, it is really easy to get to the tourist part of Paris. Hotel is like most 1-3 star hotels in Paris - small room, no elevator, breakfast room, no room safe, mini-bar etc. It was ideal for our needs. We just wanted somewhere clean, nicely decorated, quiet and handy to transport. Our room had been recently decorated, had an actual shower cubicle with curtain (rare!), double bed (not twins pushed together) and separate toilet. It was the cheapest hotel by far and speaking to other tourists, we think we got a great deal. I would definately recommend it if you are after clean budget accommodation and only want to crash the night after sightseeing. There is a lovely restaurant two blocks north opposite Jules Joffrin Station, otherwise, take the metro to Anvers station, also in Montmarte, where there are loads of restaurants and cafes nearby.

“Cheap and cheerful”

The hotel was clean, tidy and pleasant. Reception staff were outstanding in their bid to accomodate any requests. Be prepared to climb many stairs, picturesque though the staircase is, it is a huge challenge after walking the streets of Paris all day! As a single female traveller I was glad to arrive during daylight hours; the neighbourhood is grand during the day but, at night time I was most reluctant to venture outside.

“great for the price”

The hotel wes very clean, but small. I had my own bathroom with shower in the room. Breakfast was free so a bonus. The location was not that great, but not far from a metro station. Staff was friendly and helpful.

“Great”

This hotel is small, quiet, clean and easily accessable by rail perfect of a weekend break where you plan to be out most of the time. Only slight problem with the hotel if I was to be really picky is that there is no lift and we were on the sixth floor.

“Good Value Hotel in North Paris”

Our room was compact but comfortable. Just what you need for a base for exploring Paris. Metro is just around the corner (although there are 3 exits out of the Mercadet-Poisonnaires metro station - so you need to be careful exiting the station!). We found the staff incredibly helpful and friendly. Would be very happy to stay here agan.

ok the rooms are small, there is no elevator and the bathroom had a mildewy smell but it is cheap and clean. we only used the hotel to sleep as we were always on the go so it was fine for us. if you are planning on staying in your room a lot don't choose this hotel.

The hotel manager was very kind and hospitable. It was very unfortunate that "no smoking" room is almost unheard of in Europe. Thank goodness the fume odor was not permeated the room but when someone next to your room is smoking, then...it is unavoidable to smell the second hand smoking!!
