“Wouldn't Return. Ever.”
The desk manager was not kind, nor helpful. The room was VERY small and had the most uncomfortable bed I've slept in in my entire life. Free wifi is available; for 2 hours at a time. The hotel isn't in a good neighborhood, however it is a fairly short walk to the Nord.
“Moderately Satisfied”
While the room was clean and the staff did speak decent English there were some downfalls to this hotel. For one, the "free" wifi was down for the majority of our stay, about 5 of the 7 days to be exact. This was really annoying and the staff did not do anything to compensate for this. It's location was okay, about a 10 minute walk to Montmartre, which is beautiful, but not very close to any of the other tourist attractions. A taxi was about 15 Euros to get anywhere else, not including a tip. The free breakfast basically consisted of croissants every morning, which wasn't really bad, considering a free breakfast in the states is usually a donut. It was cheap but if you do your research you can find a much better hotel at the same price, if not a little bit less.
“great for the price”
The hotel wes very clean, but small. I had my own bathroom with shower in the room. Breakfast was free so a bonus. The location was not that great, but not far from a metro station. Staff was friendly and helpful.
“Will stay there next time in Paris”
Very friendly and helpful staff - with 24 hour desk. Rooms cleaned every day. Excellent breakfast included. Great location for the Montmartre district of Paris. 20 minute walk from Gare du Nord, 10 minutes from Barbès-Rochechouart (Metro Station). All in all, fantastic area of Paris to be in
“OK”
Pros: The Hotel was conveniently located near a Metro station and the hotels were decent Cons: Hotel staff was rude and there are no elevators. (We had to walk 5 flight of narrow stairs to get to our room)
“You get what you paid for”
Hotel: Ok. Personal: Kind and Handy. Breakfast: Ok. Neighborhood: Not so good. BE REALLY AWARE OF SUBWAY PICK POCKETS.
“Great value in Paris”
This hotel is in a some what dirty and rowdy neighborhood, but not a moment that I was concerned about safety. Hotel is one block from metro. Bakery and grocery store nearby. Very convenient and great value. Spiral stairwell without an elevator is a red flag for those not able to get their bags up the stairwell, but that can be alleviated by asking someone to help.
“Not Impressed”
Pros: Close to Metro, staff was very friendly, cheap Cons: Parking was 20 Euro a day in a parking garage about 3/4 mile away, then we were on the 6th floor with no elevator so we continued to hull our luggage up the stairs, the room was NOT AT ALL like the picture, it was VERY small, the bed was all that could fit in it, if you are claustrophobic DO NOT go here the hallway to get to your room fits only one person at a time, there were no wash clothes PERIOD. The room did not look like it had a good cleaning in forever. The neighborhood seemed sketchy compared to the many other neighborhoods of Paris that we visited.
“You have to climb stairs every day”
You do have to climb stairs, we were on the sixth floor and had heavy luggage which was not fun. It also was not fun, when you have been walking all day. We could not find the hotel because it is was not on the subway map. We had to call the hotel. Print a detail map because the street is tiny, so it does not show on many maps . We did not pay for the breakfast but there was a great pastries store right next to the subway. Internet connection was spotty at best. No air conditioning and the neighbors were sometimes loud at night with the windows open. The desk staff could speak English, which was a plus. Overall it was ok
“This hotel was just ok”
The hotel is located at one end of France but well connected by train. The location appeared to be not so very safe, although no such incident happened to us. The hotel does not have an elevator or escalator so you have to carry your luggage yourself to the floor assigned to you. The triple room was small but clean. The hotel staff misleads you if you ask for route to the airport by train. They might say that today the trains are delayed or not so frequent, so take a taxi. But in reality the trains are good and convenient; they are just trying to make you hire a taxi to get some tip from the taxi. So beware! Rest was fine.
