“A friendly charming place”

We really enjoyed the friendly athmosphere and the location. Everything is nearby! The metro and bus stops are 200 yards away, and yet the hotel is in a very quiet street. Our room was spotless and we enjoyed the smorgasbord breakfast. Internet is available, but we did not use it. Overall, we had a great stay in this small hotel and will go back on our return trip to Paris.

The hotel is very-well located in the Opera section of Paris. The staff is very helpful. The hotel and the rooms themselves were a bit small, but that is not uncommon in Paris. The internet was a bit intermittent but at least it was free! Overall, the hotel is well-kept and clean. It's a good deal for the price.

“A good value”

This hotel was in a very good location, off of a side road which made it very quite. My room was comfortable and clean. I could walk to the Louvre less than 20 minutes or take the metro around the corner. I highly recommend this hotel.

This is a small hotel,with modest but clean rooms.We asked to change rooms to a twin bedded set up which they readily accommodated.Easy walking distance to many of the main attractions and a metro stop close by.

“Small but convenient - a great alternative”

The Aston is in an 1870s building. The rooms are small, but spotlessly clean and perfectly adequate unless you plan to spend all of your time in your room watching French TV. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel has no restaurant, but there are many restaurants and bars within two blocks. A continental breakfast is served each morning in the old cellar, which has been turned into a breakfast room. One of the Aston's strongest points is its very convenient location, in a closed street less than a five minute walk from the Metro.

“Convenient location”

This hotel, though hard to find initially, was very close to the Grands Boulevards Metro station. The Metro is a wonderful system to get around Paris and most places are very easy to get to from this location. There are lots of cafes serving great coffee and croissants near by. The hotel is close to Gallery La Fayette & The Paris Opera House. The area is busy, safe to walk around and the hotel is situated off the main road so no traffic noise. In fact the only noise we heard were fellow tourists dragging luggage to catch ungodly early flights as we had to do. The hotel is very small but clean, and the staff are very friendly, helpful and speak excellent English (though it is certainly worth trying out your French). This is a no-frills hotel, but ideal if all you want is a place to sleep. They offer a breakfast but we found the cafes offered better coffee. I like to bathe, so was glad to find a bath tub in the en suite. Water pressure was good both for the bath & shower. The TV has one English Channel (CNN) but we were not in Paris to see TV. If all you want is a place to stay while exploring Paris I would recommend this hotel.
