“To call it "hotel" is injustice for the other hotels ! Not a hotel but a nightmare !”
Hotel Aston is a 3 star hotel !!! I wonder who gives these stars ? To me it's not more than 1 star . It's a shame to call it "hotel" . When i first went there and saw the rooms , i thought it could be a candid cam joke . Besides i paid fortune. I know Paris is not cheap but this hotel doesn't really deserve these prices. The common features of the front desk stuff were not speaking french well even we were in France . The only good thing to name for this place is the location . Before i come here , i have read the reviews ,many people were happy with their experiences on Aston . I really wonder these people didn't stay somewhere else in their whole life ? How can somebody like this hotel ? Another joke was the room case . It was too small and not fixed so it was like for facilitate the work of thieves . So i didn't use it. BTW 2 people with bags can't fit into the elevator , only one people and one bag. I always request 2 seperated beds on expedia as special request . For the first time an hotel didn't fulfill my request . Indeed it was a disaster . Stay away from Aston .
“Disappointed”
The bilingual staff in the evening was very helpful. The renovation, size of the room and loud noise all hours of the day and night kept us out of the room and away form the hotel as much as possible. Although we were in Paris, we did want to have some down time at the hotel and a comfortable place to relax. We basically only went there to sleep. Also, this is not a good neighborhood for small children.
“You have other choices”
Finding the hotel was difficult at the beginning because of location (kind of hidden street). Location was very good nearby the metro and bus stop. Tiny room but I think normal for Paris standards. The place is really small but staff was very helpful all the time. Elevator was also for one person and one suitcase, very small.
“A great place to stay!”
It is our second stay in this hotel, and the service is as always excellent. The location in unbeatable, with everything nearby. Quiet and charming, this hotel will stay on our favorites list.
“A friendly charming place”
We really enjoyed the friendly athmosphere and the location. Everything is nearby! The metro and bus stops are 200 yards away, and yet the hotel is in a very quiet street. Our room was spotless and we enjoyed the smorgasbord breakfast. Internet is available, but we did not use it. Overall, we had a great stay in this small hotel and will go back on our return trip to Paris.
“Nice hotel - Great Location”
Best location for a short stay in Paris. Room was very small but comfortable
“A good value”
This hotel was in a very good location, off of a side road which made it very quite. My room was comfortable and clean. I could walk to the Louvre less than 20 minutes or take the metro around the corner. I highly recommend this hotel.
“Pretty good stay”
The hotel is very-well located in the Opera section of Paris. The staff is very helpful. The hotel and the rooms themselves were a bit small, but that is not uncommon in Paris. The internet was a bit intermittent but at least it was free! Overall, the hotel is well-kept and clean. It's a good deal for the price.
“not what i expected.”
i have stayed at a few other hotels in paris, but this one goes at the bottom of my list in terms of the hotel itself. ill start with the good. it is in a great location! very close to metro and musee grevin (which i loved) and very close to the hardrock (which i also love). the hotel service was pretty good. i walked in and immediately asked the lady at the front desk to make us a dinner reservation and it was done by the time we got up to the room. on the other hand, moments later we called for an iron, only to be told another guest had borrowed it, and had not returned it, and left the hotel for the night. very very tiny room even by european standard. i recently also returned from a camping trip and i think our tent was as big as our hotel room. overall it was decent, but definately would go back to the previous hotels i have stayed in.
“Small but convenient - a great alternative”
The Aston is in an 1870s building. The rooms are small, but spotlessly clean and perfectly adequate unless you plan to spend all of your time in your room watching French TV. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel has no restaurant, but there are many restaurants and bars within two blocks. A continental breakfast is served each morning in the old cellar, which has been turned into a breakfast room. One of the Aston's strongest points is its very convenient location, in a closed street less than a five minute walk from the Metro.
