Small rooms, excellent location, an elegant aspect
Posted Jan 17, 2013
Pros: The location is a short walk from Notre Dame, arguably the center of Paris. Relatively easy access to metro station.
Cons: Real coffee in room, instead of instant.
Location: Latin quarter, Notre Dame, Saint Chapelle, River Seine, Pantheon, Luxembourg Gardens, Center for Arabic Studies.
We stayed for 6 nights. It is a small simple hotel with modest lobby and public rooms. But it is well located and served us well. Rooms are small. Shower is terrific. Also has a sauna and massage bed in the basement!

HOTEL ATMOSPHERES
Posted Jan 13, 2013
Pros: CONVENIENCE, ROOM DECOR AND COMFORT
Cons: PROBABLY THE SIZE OF THE ROOMS BUT DIDN'T EXPECT OTHERWISE
Location: NOT FAR FROM THE METRO, PRACTICALLY NEXT DOOR TO THE CLUNY MUSEUM, CONVENIENCE STORE NEARBY
i'M ALWAYS A BIT CONCERNED ABOUT THE HOTEL WE BOOK BUT, ARRIVING AFTER A WALK IN A DOWNPOUR FROM THE METRO, WE WERE WARMLY WELCOMED AND OUR ROOMS WERE BEYOND WHAT i EXPECTED. AFTER ALL, THIS WAS PARIS AND WE HAVE STAYED IN MANY OF THE CITY'S OLD HOTELS THAT WERE FAR FROM COMFORTABLE. THE ROOMS WERE SMALL BUT UNIQUELY DECORATED. THE PLUMBING AND BATHROOM WERE MODERN. OUR BALCONY LOOKED OUT OVER A QUIET STREET AND SMALL RESTAURANT AND CONVENIENCE STORE (VERY HANDY). I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO EVERYONE, EXCLUDING FAMILIES (TOO SMALL).

Pros: Fairly Central and near to good restaurants Staff always helpful.
Cons: Difficult to travel to by metro or bus. Breakfast expensive
Location: Near Notre Dame
Beds very comfy and room very quite even though on the street . Wardrobes too small for more than 3 days. Room too small for 5 days coffee and tea provided but could be more choice. shower superb Did not use sauna or massage options Pool would have been better

Good Location, Bad Staff
Posted Jan 10, 2013
Pros: Location, comfortable beds
Cons: Staff
This hotel was in a good location if you are looking to stay in the Latin quarter; 5 minutes walk from Notre Dame and Rue Mofftard (where there are lots of cheaper places to eat and drink). Hotel room (club) was small (like many European hotels) - especially the bathroom - and it was poorly lit but it had a view of the street and the single beds were comfortable. Breakfast was the usual buffet spread for €16 though with less choice than everywhere else we stayed. Staff were patronising and the least helpful they could be without being outright rude (not experienced elsewhere through out France in our month of traveling the country). The front desk/concierge gave us incorrect information about taxis which saw us incur two booking fees of approximately €13 each. The elevator is extremely slow. You are only given one key per room which is left at reception whilst you're out which is annoying if, like me, you are staying with a smoker (either get up to let them in after every cigarette or sit in the dark without power while they're gone with the key - a bit ridiculous!)

only OK

Pros: location
Cons: size of room
Location: excellent for those who want to explore new neighbourhoods yet want to be able to walk to major sites like Luxembourg Gardens, Notre Dame .......
We certainly liked the location of the hotel - a little "out of the way" , yet easy walk to major attractions - we chose to be away from the 'maddening crowds' and were not disappointed. It was clean and staff were quite friendly. We like the modern feel of the place. Breakfast was disappointing in quality, location (basement) and price. Our room was TINY. So small that my husband had to duck his head when getting out of bed to prevent slamming his head on the slanting ceiling. No place to put our luggage. One small closet for 2 people just didn't seem adequate. No major inconveniences, just not as comfortable as we would have preferred.

Great hotel

Pros: Cleanliness of the hotel and helpfulness of the staff. There was a workout gym on the premises (loved the massage bed).
Cons: None to mention
Location: Many restaurants to choose from. Very safe area. Beautiful buildings.
The hotel was very clean (fresh towels daily and room upkeep). The staff were friendly and very helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The area was very safe. Many restaurants in the area. The size of the room was your usual European size. If I had to visit Paris again would definitely stay here. Hotel was within the vicinity of most attractions. The subway was within walking distance.

The hotel is nice, clean, and in a great location in the tourist district. Eat at Les Fetes Galantes nearby.

Close to Everything!

This hotel is centrally located, near everything in Paris. It is an easy walk to Notre Dame, The Pantheon, Luxembourg Gardens, the subway etc. Tons of cute cafes and shops around. The rooms are SMALL and the toilet area is tiny....like airplane size. But really you aren't spending much time in your room so that is OK. I would not recommend this hotel to a large person...you seriously could not fit in the toilet area, but other than that it was great. Staff speaks perfect English and are very polite and helpful.

Quaint hotel with an exceptionally friendly staff
Posted Jan 23, 2013
Pros: Location, staff, shower and linens
Cons: Breakfast was good but expensive!
Location: We jumped on bus 87 to the Eiffel Tower. Visited Paris Tourism office at San Michael and the River, here you can book sightseeing tours and day trips.
We enjoyed our one week stay at the Hotel Atmospheres. Located in the Latin quarter close to Notre Dame, and the Pantheon as well as many wonderful cafe's. Our room, which was located on the 5th floor overlooking Rue Des Ecoles was clean, quiet with very comfortable twin beds with luxury linens. The Bathroom had a terrific large rainfall shower and soft and very large towels. The Hotel Atmospheres staff was exceptional, they made us feel welcome, and helped us with whatever we needed. We hope to visit again and would recommend this hotel to everybody.

Convenient hotel near the Sorbonne
Posted Jan 21, 2013
Pros: friendly helpful staff
Cons: somewhat cramped conditions
Location: extremely convenient - within easy walking distance of Luxembourg Gardens and Pantheon -- well located with respect to Paris metro,
I stayed at the Hotel Atmospheres for a week in early May. It is a conveniently located left bank hotel especially well suited to the English speaking traveler. All of the staff spoke excellent English and were helpful with advice. The room I had was small but there was a desk and a chair, although the chair was not very comfortable.
