wouldnt recommend

The main lady at the counter wouldn't even bother to smile, the room was small, bathroom door was stuck every time you closed it all the way and wasn't cleaned properly every day, only new towels were given and beds made. Worst of all, a strong sulfuric smell came from the sink everyday. Only plus, two bakeries on the way to the metro.

Decent Hotel in Central Paris w/fair accommodation

Posted Apr 6, 2014
Pros: The staff was very friendly
Location: Its close to a metro and several restaurants, cafe's and local grocery stores
I looked at the reviews on this hotel before booking and read about the noise and how far it was away from the city. (I stayed here 4 days) Several mornings at before 5am there was a truck outside unloading goods that was extremely loud which woke us up several days. This hotel is also on a busy street and there is constantly horn sounds and loud trucks passing by. There is a lift, (which is hard to come by in some areas) but it is extremely small, but functional. Our shower did not close all the way, which wasn't that big of a deal. Some slight mold in some areas of the bathrooms and there was at times a smell of sewer in the bathroom. Your getting what you pay for, do not expect a high end hotel, this is for someone who is on a budget. Also remember that if your a tourist, you not going to be spending a lot of time at the hotel. The hotel staff were more than accommodating to us, gave us maps and locations of good cafes, restaurants and metros. The hotel is not that close to tourist attractions by foot, but is close to a metro and which is relatively easy to navigate.

Value for money

Posted Jun 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Room was a bit hot and noisy on as it had no air con and faced the road but it had all the facilities we needed and was very clean with enough space in the room. Location was just a short walk from the metro with some nice bakeries and supermarkets along the route. Not the great if your looking for somewhere really romantic but as a place to sleep and wash is was good value for money.

Not bad on a student budget, but not good either.

Pros: Location.
Cons: Cockroach.
Location: Conveniently located next to a metro station and easily accessible from the centre. Also opposite a cheap food store.
Cockroach in the bathroom. Bathroom smelled terrible. Lobby also smelled terrible.

Bright and clean for a good price

Posted May 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
room was small, but that's to be expected. We had an alarm going off at a house accross the street on our first night, but i general our stay was quiet and uneventful.Location is not the closest to the main sights, but is close to the metro so no big deal to get in and out to the tourist atttractions. We skipped the breakfast and opted to go to a local cafe on the main road for a true french breakfast (at ~1/2 the price and more "authentic").

fit for purpose

Selected hotel owing to its location, a short walk from an exhibition hall around the corner where I was working for the weekend. hotel was as expected - clean, no frills, travel lodge type. Liked the free wifi. Handy for 104 exhibition centre. Easy metro ride into town from Crimee or Riquet on line 7. A few friendly bars in the area. Secure parking around corner for 15 euros a day. Major grumble - the door lock didnt work, so they just left my door unlocked for a week. Minor grumble - no kettle.. stayed 5 nights and really missed a first cuppa of the day - came very close to buying a kettle!

You Get What You Pay For...Sometimes!

Posted Aug 22, 2012
Pros: Friendly staff and very large windows in our room.
Cons: Room too small for two people, very little wardrobe space and no air conditioning!! A fan would have made a great difference to sleeping well at night
Location: The area is a little rough that said, we felt very safe and walked around the neighborhood, and the metro was five minutes walk away.
I have always wanted to visit Paris for more than a day and I knew in order to do that I would have to get very creative. So I spent a lot of time (about four weeks!) going through the Expedia website making lots of comparisons using different criteria. For example, setting a budget minimum and maximum. Then using Expedia's star rating system etc. All of this was my way of trying to gauge the kind of quality accommodation that my limited budge would buy. So after much deliberating and lots of note taking...I made my decision. We arrived at our hotel two hours early and they allowed us to leave our luggage until our room was ready. When we came back three and half hours later, the cleaner was still in the hall way and our room was just about ready! Anyhow, my first impressions was I have never been in a hotel with such a narrow hallway, it was shocking. I was even more surprised at how small the room was and the fitted wardrobe was tiny and would not hold both of our clothes. It would suit a single occupant better than two. Our suitcases took up more of the floor space which made it tricky to move around. Also there is no air conditioning this made sleeping at night unbearable and there were no fans available on request. On the plus side, most of the staff were friendly and polite. and the rooms were cleaned, and we had fresh towels everyday. For a couple of nights stay it's fine, for a longer stay I would look for somewhere else.
