Lovely hotel excellent locationPosted Jul 28, 2014
Lovely hotel, 1 minute from the metro stop 'Rome'. Extremely pleasant staff. Room exactly as described online. Clean and more than spacious enough for 3 adults. Will definitely return on my next visit to Paris.

Great find!Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Clean and. Odeon facility
Cons: Better shower
Location: Right. Ear metro stop "Rome"
Found this hotel last minute when our plans changed. Great value. Modern and well located a block from the metro (less actually). Elevator, air conditioning. Shower was the only thing that could have been better, but will definitely stay again. Great price. Helpful, friendly staff! A

Good hotel, location and valuePosted Jul 3, 2014
We were looking for a hotel that was relatively close in to all the sights in a low # arrondisment but did not want to pay the $400-500 a night that many demanded. Hotel Berne is in arrondisment 8 and is less than a block from the Rome Metro station. You can get to the Arc de Triomphe in 10-15 minutes. Other sites such as Notre Dame require a single transfer to another line and take a few minutes longer. It is only a 11 euro taxi ride from Gare Nord (we came in on Eurostar train from London). The room and hotel was well decorated and spotless. Staff was very friendly and gave great advice. There are plenty of Bistros and cafes nearby and we always felt safe. All in all we were very satisfied.

Pros: I like the clasic infrastructure, with modern facilities inside, great combination.
Cons: The cleanness, specially of the bathtub and the bathroom in general. The price is a little, it doesn´t include breakfast and the room is small.
Location: Location is great, it is not in the center but it is easy to go quick by metro, the surroundings are nice.
Almost everything was ok at the hotel, it was pretty, modern, confortable. The personnel at the front desk were kind and gave us information. The hotel is close to a metro stop which is great, the surroundings are quiet, nice and secure. We had free internet access, with no limit for number of devices to conect. There is custody for bagagge after your check out.

Best Cost/BenefitPosted May 6, 2014
I have stayed in much more expensive hotels in Paris, but only one (renaissance champs elysees) has really worth the high price. Usually rooms in Paris, even expensive ones, are old, small with small bathrooms, weak showers and nothing worth the price. Berne Opera has new rooma, awsome bed and a great bathroom (although not too big). Excellent location. Highly recommended

Well placed hotel close to metro.Posted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: See comments above
Cons: See comments above
Location: Central Paris and all the tourist hot spots were easily accessible from the hotel. The metro was great. Fast, efficient and cheap.
Hotel was fine. Receptionist we dealt with was extremely helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was breakfast. Choice was between 8 euro breakfast or 16 euro breakfast. For 8 euros you could have one orange juice, one hot drink, one croissant. 16 euros you could have fruit, meat, cheese, hot breakfast. We didn't want a hot breakfast but wanted more than the 8 euro breakfast offered. This apparently was not possible as the computer could only cope with one or the other. I think they should be more flexible. We wanted something in between but had to pay 16 euros just to get a bowl of fruit salad and an extra slice of toast. They definitely need to be more flexible.
