Lovely hotelPosted Aug 26, 2014
Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful hotel and room, close to a number of cafés and places to eat. Nice quiet street, a little confusing as the street is separated in to 2 parts that don't exactly line up! So it was a bit difficult to find our way back on the first day, but that's not the hotel's fault! Can't fault the hotel at all it was perfect.

Nice close to cityPosted Aug 7, 2014
The hotel is near to the metro station and is easy access to the city. Although the room is small but very tidy and has a very comfy bed. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Wonderful hotel experience, great locationPosted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: The staff was wonderful. The breakfast was delicious. The room was quiet and the air conditioning worked great.
Cons: I thought it was perfect
Location: Near the metro stop Notre Dame de Lorette. Two blocks from the Rue des Martyrs, with many wonderful bistros and bakeries.
We immensely enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location was perfect: the Metro was around the corner near Notre Dame de Lorette Church. We were 2 blocks from Rue des Martyrs, a destination in itself, which is a wonderful place to find numerous bistros for meals, bakeries for macaroons and bread, a small grocery for drinks, We walked up this street to get to the Moulin Rouge and to Sacre Coeur, which is visible from the street near the hotel. The room under the roof was small but comfortable for myself and my 2 daughters. They cleaned daily. They had air conditioning that worked wonderfully. It had shuttered windows that opened onto a view of the church steeple. It was cozy and quiet. The lift held 1 person with luggage, but who cares? We made 3 trips with our suitcases, but were able to fit all 3 of us without. The breakfast was delicious, and consisted of fresh eggs, sausages, bacon, slices of meat and cheese, yogurts, juices, hot chocolate, etc. The breakfast area was quaint. The decor was interesting, unique, with an outdoor theme. Besides the hotel's ambience, which gave us a true Parisian experience, the best part was the staff. Every person at the desk was friendly and helpful in terms of directions, extra pillows, ticket purchase and arranging taxis. They were all sweet and polite, and were patient with my rusty French. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to everyone, and I plan to return here again in the future.

Not what we expectedPosted Jun 17, 2014
Cons: The atmosphere was really dark!
Location: The Opera was about 20 minutes walking. The bus tour stop is only 5 minutes away.
The hotel was not what we expected. The room was really small but apparently this is what you get in Paris! No tea facilities in the room or a fridge. The lift fits only one person and one luggage. Very tiny! The lady at check in did not ask my passport neither my credit card. We had to leave the key at reception every time we went out. On the way back when we asked the key...the staff did not ask a proof of identification or name...just the room number! Everyone could walk in. I guess they probably remember every guest! The staff was really polite and helpful. Overall the location was ok.

Hotel close to metroPosted Jun 4, 2014
Hotel was a minute from the metro station. The female receptionists were helpful but the male receptionists were rude. Room was small and dark but clean and suitable for a short trip. I would stay again

Close to St. Lazare StationPosted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: the staff
Cons: More drawer space and a mirror over the desk in the bedroom.
Location: Location is good for the train station. However, It is a half-hour walk to the Hotel de Ville
This is a quirky hotel just at the beginning of rue St. Lazare. There is a metro station just a block away. We had a "superior" room which supposedly meant that it was larger than the standard. In theory, this was true. However, all the extra space was devoted to a very long entrance hall, and the actual room was just about European standard. There was little drawer space and not much room to manoeuvre around the bed. However, the bathroom had new fixtures and was nicely appointed. The front office staff were very helpful and pleasant.
