“Excellent Place to Stay in St. Germain”

This hotel is small but very close to everything. Our room was clean and we had a balcony that opened to the street. The staff was very helpful arranging for local trips and a shuttle bus to the airport. A great location!

“Great value for the price”

The Hotel California was very well located, quiet, clean, nice staff. Small & not luxurious, but we weren't paying luxury prices. We had a quad, which was 2 nice-sized rooms and a bath. Elevator is tiny. Many good places to eat in St. Germain & the Latin Quarter; walking distance to Isle de la Cite. Only problem--the airport shuttle service they arranged for us was 25 minutes late, stopped for other passengers, and the driver got lost trying to find our terminal. Might be better just to take a cab.

“Perefect Location”

This hotel was clean and well maintained. If you travel on a budget and don't require a lot of ammenities, this is a great place to stay. It is in close proximity to many attractions and the metro station as well as the RER stations. Great, safe location if you are traveling alone. I'd go back.

This was a nice place to stay on a budget. The location was only a block away from the Metro (Maubert Mutualite station) and walking distance from many of the interesting sites in the Latin Quarter including Notre-Dame. The room was fairly small but clean and nicely done with a rich cloth on the walls, the in room bath and shower where nice but where particularly tight.

I had a very nice experience there - being in the Latin quarter was a perfect location for seeing and getting around Paris. The room was small but very nice and the hotel staff was very friendly.

Hotel was so close to Notre Dame, short walk to many sites. Best thing was the staff was extremely helpful. Our luggage didn't make the flight, they took care of it for us in seconds! Day before we left, they reminded us and took care of the confirmations and shuttle arrangments.Across st.was great restaurant and down corner gorgeous street market!!

“Definitely recommend”

We stayed two weeks in this hotel with a family of four including two teenaged sons. The location is fantastic--interesting, lively neighborhoods, 5 minutes to Notre Dame and many close metro stations, great cafes and restaurants. Beds were comfortable, we were lucky to get a very large bathroom with tub. Started to get worried after reading some iffy reviews, but am glad we stuck with the hotel. The air conditioning broke down one day but was fixed the next. Hotel staff were friendly--Nothing luxurious, but good value.

Our family of 4: 2 adults and two teens stayed here for a week. Location was excellent! Would definitely stay here again. No frills. Great price. Great location. Short walk to metro, crepes, Sorbonne, Pantheon and tons more.

This place was fabulously located for getting around Paris. Room and bathroom were small (but does one really go to Paris to sit in a hotel room!) but very clean. I had a small balcony which was perfect for sitting in the evenings. The hotel staff was very friendly and extremely helpful from borrowing their wine opener to getting me set up with a shuttle to the airport. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are OK with basics and planning to spend most of your time seeing Paris! Very affordable as well.
