Minimalist hotel in a good part of ParisPosted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: Position near Place de la Bastile, Place des Vosges and not far from the Seine St. Michel and Notre Dame. Very pleasant art area to wander around.
Cons: As above noisy doors and sometimes noisy clients
Location: Place de Vosges, Victor Hugo house, Musee Carnavalet, Place de la Bastille, Seine, Hotel de Ville. Take the Batobus on a round tour hop on hop off.
The facilities were minimal but adequate for a city stay in an accessible part of Paris for connections to all other parts of the city. We got a good deal through Expedia because of our longer stay. Two metro stations within easy reach and essential supermarket, cafes, restaurants, pharmacy etc. nearby. Rooms cleaned thoroughly ever day. Tea coffee kettle available. TV only French channels, would be better with subtitles unless you are a fluent French speaker. Could have done with a face towel and not just a bath towel, but these were changed every day if so wished. Reception staff all speak other languages so no communcation problems only one not very pleasant. FIRE ENTRY DOORS TO THE APPARTMENTS ARE VERY HEAVY AND THEREFORE THERE IS A LOT OF BANGING OF DOORS, VERY OFTEN EARLY IN THE MORNING AND LATE IN EVENING. MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO REMEDY THIS PROBLEM BY ADVISING CLIENTS TO CLOSE DOORS QUIETLY.

Good positionPosted Aug 4, 2014
Close to Place de Bastille and Pere LaChaise Cemetary and handily placed for the 69 bus and Chemin Vert Metro station. Good breakfast with access to a garden. Clean and comfortable and good value due to Summer Deal price. Only grumble, air conditioning was not quite efficient enough in our room. Would go again though.

Great 'home base' locationPosted May 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
Hotel is visible from the metro. We travelled exclusively by metro. It was a relief to walk up the stairs with luggage directly from the airport and see the hotel sign. There is another line a block away. Across the street is a grocery market, and up the street and around the corner is a bakery. There are also cafes nearby. There is a fantastic open market on Sundays which can be seen as soon as you leave the hotel. Everything can be found there, and a great place to eat as you wander the stalls. The area is quiet and safe, and a good location to get on public transit to visit anywhere you want within the city. The hotel wifi worked well. We did not have the hotel breakfast so I cannot comment on it, as we picked up items from the grocery and bakery, and stopped in to the cafes for a quick coffee. The room is basic and small, which we expected, as Paris is not a city to spend time in your room. It had all we needed with good use of space. Our only encounter with staff was for check in and check out, and both people spoke English. Good 3 star hotel.

Trip to ParisPosted Apr 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
Clean and comfortable hotel for few nights stay. Very close by to Metro making moving around and going to various tourist sites very easy and hassle free. Direct Metro line to Eurostar terminal.
