A very enjoyable stay!

A great hotel for the price. Very well placed to access the main places of interest. The room was very clean and we had plenty of clean towels. The beds (we had a twin room) were comfortable. We didn't have breakfast because we felt it was a bit expensive at 9.50Euros each, but there was a kettle supplied in the room for coffee/tea and we bought food in the supermarket across the road. The room was quiet though on Friday and Saturday nights there was some noise from the street around midnight. The double glazing helped cut most of it out. The TV was entirely French but we didn't mind as we tried to improve our French by watching or put on the music channels. We were able to leave our bags in the secure baggage room after we checked out so we could make the most of our last few hours in Paris. Don't miss the Sunday market a few minutes walk away at La Place de la Bastille. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay! We would definitely stay there again.

Pros: Our room's design and cleanliness.
Cons: Having to be buzzed in at night.
Location: Good location near metro and Buses.
Our room's split room design was great for privacy, room looked and felt clean.

Hotel Campanile Marais Bastille-May 2013.

Pros: Very handily located for bars cafes and decent restaurants - near useful Metro Stations.
Cons: Bathroom was a wet room and everything got wet!! We had to use towels as stepping stones to get around to the loo!
Location: Good position near a small supermarket, wonderful market on Bd Richard Lenoir on Thursdays and Sundays.
Arrived to meet friendly helpful receptionists - able to book in straight away & go up to our room straight away (12pm). Breakfasts were good and varied - coffee and tea machines made a decent cup of freshly prepared coffee & you could easily get a second cup. Could finish a little later though - ends at 9am. There is a nice patio for breakfast outdoors if the weather is fine - which it wasn't! When we came to go home we were able to book out early, leave our cases in the bagagerie, and see more of Paris before returning later to pick up cases & catch Eurosrar. Very handy for Metro Breguet Sabin (Metro Line 5) and Chemin Vert (Metro Line 8).

Pros: Friendly welcome by Sophie and Nathalie, quiet room for lovely rest after work.
Cons: Shower and sink drains were a bit blocked. Drainage problem?
Location: Excellent location
Always stay at this hotel while on business. Very good location, lovely staff who know and make me feel welcome, rooms are clean, tidy and work well for me. Breakfast is excellent, great choice of buffet. Nathalie and Sophie very friendly and professional, lovely girls. So far I have always enjoyed my stay at Campanille and I have been a regular for many years.

Great location - value for money

This is a basic hotel conveniently just 2 mins from the metro station Breguet Sabin. The hotel is not the prettiest and the rooms are small however it is very clean and you get clean towels every day. The staff are polite and helpful and reception is open 24 hours per day. They have room to store luggage if you need to and if you arrive early and your room is ready you can check in straight away. There is also tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The location is great - there's a great market beside the metro at on Thursday and Sunday. There many bars and restaurants nearby as well as a boulangerie. The area is safe to walk around at night and convenient to get anywhere by metro and you don't even have to change lines from Gare du Nord. Place de Bastille is a few minutes away from where you can walk through Port de Arsenal down to the Seine. You can also walk through Marais to the Pompidou Centre from here.

Great Value

The staff was friendly and very helpful and the room was comfortable and clean. There was no "CNN" or any foreign language channels so if you have to have a media fix at the end of the day, this isn't the place to stay. BUT, the location can't be beat so why watch television anyway. The breakfast was somewhat limited but very good and plentiful croissant, cofee, fruit, meat, cheese, yogurt, cereal and sundry edibles. No eggs which I always hope for. Overall, I would recommend the hotel completely and plan to stay there again.

the hotel was well located and the staff very helpful, however, the bed was extremely hard and the hotel did not have air-con because of being "green" and out of season. consequently we had to open the window and were disturbed by the noise. the near by market is well worth a visit, especially for breakfast
