Great place - book early to savePosted Oct 20, 2013
Cons: Hotel Staff
Location: Metro is very close
The staff was not the friendliest (maybe just because I was American). It seemed like a total bother every time I asked a question. The rooms were clean but extremely tiny, which you may find everywhere in Paris. I would stay there again because the neighborhood was quaint and quiet.

Highly recommendablePosted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: Everything is very clean, the bathrooms seem to have been updated very recently. The staff is extremely helpful, the front desk people speak English.
Location: The hotel is in walking distance to the Arc de Triomphe, the closest Metro station is just one Minute away, many restaurants in the neighborhood.
We had a very pleasing experience with this hotel and its staff.

Don't expect muchPosted Oct 5, 2013
After reading all the previous reviews, we've expected a completely different picture of a hotel and its rooms. Most of the reviewers were commenting about the beauty of the hotel, its coziness etc. I would probably not recommend staying in this hotel, unless you are really have to spend a little amount of dollars per room. If you can afford a bit more expensive range,I am sure it would be worth it, especially when average price for the room in Paris is like way more... However, if you are looking for something just to come late at night, have a sleep and get out, this would be the ideal option. Cheers.

Quiet, clean and comfortablePosted Sep 24, 2013
Hotel Charlemagne is quiet, clean and comfortable. It's a 30 minute brisk walk away from the Arc de Triomphe along one straight road. The road is littered with bars and restaurents. The Metro is very close to the hotel, so you can reach the Arc; the Louvre and the Tuileries in about 10 minutes. I would definitely stay here again. Yes, the decor is a big tatty but who cares? We didn't have breakfast in the hotel as like all hotels, it is overpriced. All the the staff we came into contact with were friendly and helpful.

Good for couples for a weekend in ParisPosted Jun 12, 2013
Small rooms but do you really spend a lot of time in your room when you are in Paris? Bottom line: inexpensive hotel, great location near the Pont de Neuilly subway station (line1), the room had what is needed: comfortable bed, clean, small yet functional bathroom.

Cosy hotel close to MetroPosted May 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great location in a lovely part of Paris, very close to the Metro. Staff were friendly and had quite good English. The room was a good size for a hotel in a large city and the bed was great - nice and firm. We would not hesitate to use this hotel again.

Arc de TriomphePosted Apr 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had a very lovely stay at Charlemagne. Even if the hotel is not in the very city centre, it right next to a metro station and the neighbourhood itself is very nice. 25 min walk to Arc de Triomphe / 20 min walk to Grand Arche. The room was very simple but clean, new towels every day. We decided to eat breakfast in the city therefore I won't be able to comment on the breakfast served in the hotel. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place.

Perfect small hotelPosted Dec 9, 2012
Pros: Size and location
Cons: No satellite tv service and door slamming from inconsiderate guests
Location: Excellent for getting around the city, whether on business/sightseeing trip. Plenty of local restaurants and bars and easy access to Metro or buses
Clean, modern, comfortable and yet traditionally French. Wonderfully located, near to restaurants, Metro, buses and shops at La Defense or if on a business trip the hub of the city. 2 x drawbacks: No satellite tv and door slamming noise, if next to inconsiderate guests.

You may pay for its convinience!Posted Oct 22, 2012
Pros: Good staffs
Cons: Heavy door
Location: 1 rue Charcot, Neuilly-sur-Seine
In the quiet environment of Neuilly area, you may find fairly good accomodations around the hotel. Very high cost performance you may feel from your stay. Around ten minutes by using metro from the very central part of Paris city, it is confortable.
