Hotel de Fleurie

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: It's location
Cons: It just seemed a touch outdated - although ok.
Location: There are plenty of local bars and cafés although most are a bit pricey. We paid 23 euros for two jack daniels and one coke on our last evening!
Tucked down a little side street conveniently close to the metro and only 4 stops away from Gare de Nord. Hotel de Fleurie is situated in a good location to experience the hustle and bustle of the city. Only a 10 minute walk away from the Seine and not far from Notre Dame - it offered accommodation which was clean and fresh, with working air con - a must in the heat! The double glazing stopped all street noise (which there was some, from the bar and restaurant next door) The one thing it lacked for me was a garden and we chose to buy a coffee and croissant for two euros rather than pay the 13 for breakfast - which is about standard, but our preference was to eat out on the street. The hotel was a little noisy with some door slamming going on but we didn't hear anything from the next room once they were in and the spiral stair case was charming. The gentleman on reception during the day was helpful and courteous - one guy who was on at night seemed like he was sort of looking after it, whilst everyone else was out. A little different in characture. All in all an ok stay. I would recommend it, when booked through a site like Expedia as the prices on the room doors for the seasons were a lot higher!

great small hotel in the center of Paris

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Central location in Paris
Cons: nothing, you cannot make a room larger than it is
Location: Walkable distance to museums, restaurants, parks, shoping
I have stayed at this hotel many times over many years. The rooms are small but who goes to Paris to stay in the room. The staff is excellent, very helpful. The location is excellent whether one wants access to all of Paris by Metro, bus, taxi or foot

Fabulous Hotel

This is a fabulous hotel, and I would definitely like to stay here again Situated in the lovely neighbourhood of St Gemain and just of St Germain Boulevard. Very close to Rue Buci which is a favourite street for me. Hotel staff are very good and most helpful. Fully recommend this Hotel to people that wish to stay in the St Germain or Latin area.

Great location

Great hideaway tucked very central to everything. Room was clean & comfortable, staff friendly. Location and room were also safe & secure for solo women travellers. Plenty of cafés (and a Starbucks!), bank, restaurants all 1-2 min walk away, Metro is a block. I found that taxis also congregated close by if required, or easy to flag on the road (we used it once for the airport). RER is one station away, also walking distance. I would recommend to anyone!

Great location, very convenient.

Excellent value. Very nice staff, quite helpful. The room was small (as described by others), but more than adequate if you are out exploring all day and using the room for sleeping (found it very quiet) and changing. It is too small for families. Restaurants all around, and just a few minutes walk from the RER from/to CDG.

Decent hotel in great area

The main advantage of Hotel Fleurie is the location - just off Blvd St Germain, very close to Odeon Metro station. The hotel itself is nice enough - it's pretty basic and can be noisy at night due to the thin walls & leaking taps seemingly everywhere. But it's a decent option in a fantastic part of Paris.

Quiet street, but in the middle of everything

Posted Nov 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
I am used to staying in boutique hotels in St. Germain De Pres. This hotel exceeded my expectations as I was looking for something less expensive this time. Large room by Paris standards, nicely appointed, a block from the Metro and numerous restaurant options.
