Hotel De Paris in Paris

Posted Oct 3, 2011 on Hotels.com
Walls so thin the next room occupants kept me up all night with their sexcapades, conversations and banging of doors. Leaky noisy toilet. Supposedly this was a non smoking room that smelled of stale smoke and numerous cigarette burns on the bed spread. Experience was so bad I checked after first night cutting short my trip to Paris by one day losing money on the second night stay. Be warned, stay away from this Hotel…

Hotel de Paris in Paris, France

Posted Jul 17, 2010 on Hotels.com
Sweat box, flop house is what I would call it. If we had not been able to open the doors to a small balcony, we might have expired, i.e., no air conditioning whatsoever, and the temperature in Paris was about 95 degrees Fahrenheit. Incredibly small room with an incredibly small bathroom. The smallest elevator, there's only one, that I have ever seen anywhere, i.e., only two people of normal size could get in the elevator. This hotel has a two star rating, so we could only wonder and laugh about what a one star hotel might look like, size of rooms, etc.

Adequate accomodations

Posted Jun 14, 2010 on Hotels.com
This was a small, but adequate room as can be expected in Paris. There is no air conditioning, but large windows that can be opened to let in fresh air. However, there is a fair amount of street noise with the windows open, even at night. The location was convinient to multiple metro stops, so it was very easy to get around the city. This is a good spot if you don't plan on spending much time at your hotel, but I would not want to be there in the full heat of the summer.
