Comfortable hotel in a great locationPosted Nov 11, 2013
Pros: Great location, friendly staff, quiet/clean room with large bathroom.
Cons: Could use a bit of renovation/remodeling.
Location: Paris is bustling right outside the hotel doors! Great outdoor food markets & cafes line the streets. A quick walk to Pont Neuf, Louvre, Notre Dame...
The Hotel de Seine is somewhat dated, but comfortable, clean, quiet, with very friendly staff. The location is fantastic & this hotel is a really good value. Many of the hotel in this area are unaffordable & prices seem to get higher every time I return to Paris.

Great location, staff and very comfortablePosted Nov 4, 2013
Pros: Location, staff
This hotel was perfect for our trip. Easy walk to Notre Dame, the Louvre and Musee D'Orsay. Lots a great restaurants nearby and fun street scene. There was even a market on the corner though the rooms were very quiet. The hotel staff was so helpful in recommending restaurants (they recommended Vagenende which was excellent) and they really were prepared to help arrange any transportation needs such as our trip back to the airport. Just so many little things that can be a distraction on a great vacation but this hotel was perfect. We plan to return.

We loved the Hotel de Seine! It was in a great location, the staff was friendly and helpful (and spoke very good English!) The only downside was the noise from people running up and down the stairs and in the room above us (we were in room 11 and right beside the staircase). It wasn't a big deal as it wasn't ongoing and the guests upstairs seemed to quiet down early. Likely just as exhausted as from all of the sightseeing. We would definitely stay here again!

Great hotel in great location to everything.Posted Jul 29, 2013
Pros: Great location and very quiet. We visited Paris during their heat wave of over 90 weather. Thank goodness our hotel had great AC.
Cons: Would like to have hotel include lite breakfast into their hotel fees.
Location: Ideal location - everything is walking distance and metro is only a block away.
First time visitors to Paris and our experience with this hotel was very nice. Staff very helpful. Only hiccup was the concierge forgot to give us a wake-up call for our one day excursion to Normandy. Thank goodness my husband set his phone alarm as a back up or we would have missed the tour.

A fabulous 7 nights!Posted Jul 21, 2013
Pros: the lobby and reception area - gorgeous French style
Location: brilliant and 'buzzy' - close to everything!
I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights in July. I was away from my family and in Paris for work. The location is just perfect - the minute you walk outside the front door, there is a hive of activity all around - you are moments away from a great supermarket, laundromat and fruit and veg shop - there is a choice of metro stations nearby but I tended to walk most of the time. The staff never failed to welcome me 'home' with a friendly 'bonjour' each afternoon - they were also very helpful in recommending a 'bar' for a nice glass of vin rouge - the choice is just so large, it was nice to narrow it down a bit! There is definitely a 'scene' to this area and it was fun to play along for a week. I'd definitely recommend this hotel and would return in an instant if reality didn't require me elsewhere in the world!

Great centrally located smaller hotelPosted Jun 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Hotel de Seine is a lovely little hotel conveniently located in the St, Germain area. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from two different metro stations and is centrally located so you can walk almost anywhere. The room wasn't unreasonably small (and I've heard Paris hotel rooms can be). It was clean and quiet. There was plenty of room for my husband and I to move around the room at the same time. With the windows closed, you could not hear street noise and I am sensitive to that at night. This being my husband and my first visit to Paris, we wanted to stay in a hotel rather than an apartment so we could have some help getting around, making reservations, etc. Everyone at the front desk was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We only ate breakfast in the hotel once but it was very good. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone travelllng to Paris.

Terrific location, friendly desk, small roomPosted May 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Hotel de Seine is located right in the center of the action on the Left Bank in St. Germaine des Pres. It is surrounded by sidewalk cafés, restaurants, stores, everything one wants to live comfortably. It is within easy walking distance of the metro, the Sorbonne and the Ile de la Cité. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a treat -- the croissants were excellent. The rooms, however, are small and not luxuriously appointed. The elevator is holds at most 2 or 3 people. Despite the lively street life just outside the door, our room was quiet.
