Hotel in great location

Posted Apr 23, 2015
Hotel definitely not 5 star. Our room needed refurbishing and was situated over a busy restaurant. The staff were lovely, very helpful. Location excellent two streets from Arc De Triumph off the Champs Elysee.

Perfect location

Posted Mar 22, 2015
We booked this hotel mainly due to it's location. Having never been to Paris we wanted to be as central as possible and this couldn't have been better. Only a few hundred meters from the Arc de Triomphe and still walking distance from the Eiffel Tower. We were also concerned that we might book somewhere that looked nice in the pictures but be in a rough area but our minds were put at rest the instant we arrived! The whole area around the hotel is lovely, grand buildings, fancy hotels, flagship shops and fantastic restaurants. At no point did we feel unsafe and we were out every night. I think this area would be comparable with Mayfair and Park Lane in London. If you are in Paris then this is the place to stay, it ticks every box. So, the hotel itself, it's quite small, there isn't a huge lobby and a pool and things like that, but it's lovely. Being small it's very quiet, the staff are more attentive and you can always get in the lift! It was very clean, the bed was really comfy and the room was lovely. I don't have a bad word to say about it. Even their restaurant has just been awarded a Michelin star. I think in this price range it's perfect, I'd happily stay there again and happily recommend it to anyone. One final note would be the staff, they all spoke extremely good English and couldn't have been more helpful. They seemed to help out and not just because they are trying to get a tip, but because they just want to help you with your stay. I will be staying here again.

Pros: posizione....dimensione letti e camera
Cons: un bel vernissage anche al personale
Location: pieno centro
albergo in posizione favolosa a due passi due dagli champs...struttura vecchia e trascurata...personale non da 5 stelle..camere spaziose letti ottimi ma arredamento fatiscente....

Paris - A mini break

Posted Jan 5, 2015
Pros: Location, ambience
Cons: a lick of paint in the bedroom/bathroom would be useful. Getting a little tired
Location: Central to the Champs, Metro, basically a superb location.
Great location, room pleasant enough, a bit tired though. Superb staff, and little touches like the bed turn down services as a lovely touch.

Tres bien situé deux pas des Champs Elysées. Style classique confortable, quoique certains meubles un peu usés. Tranquilité absoulu!!!

Reasonably priced hotel in the heart of Paris

Posted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: The elegant décor and the charming staff.
Cons: Although not as modernly decorated as some hotels, the décor was smart and elegant and, from my viewpoint, was preferable to more modern styles.
Location: What can I say about what to do near by? The hotel is situated only three minutes walk from the most famous street in Paris - what CAN'T you do???
The Hotel de Vigny is a comfortable and well presented Parisian hotel, situated three minutes safe walk from the Champs d'Elysees and close to the Metro and Arc de Triomphe. There is also a very elegant, upmarket Italian restaurant located immediately next-door. Upon our arrival, we were greeted outside by the porter, who took immediate command of our numerous pieces of luggage. We then received a warm welcome from several staff members at the Reception desk, who, thankfully, spoke fluent English. Our check-in went smoothly and without any delays. The Reception desk provides 24 hour service and organises room-service, wake-up calls and taxi bookings when required, all of which are extremely helpful to non French-speaking travellers. Wi-Fi was also easily accessible. Our room, although not newly refurbished, was very spacious, extremely comfortable and pleasantly climate-controlled, and furnished in a Regency style which reflected many of the grand buildings we had seen in our travels. We would certainly stay here again and will recommend it to our friends.
