“Good hotel in real Parisian neighborhood”
I liked this hotel in the Batignolles, a former small town that is now subsumed within the city of Paris. It isn't near any major tourist traps, but instead has lots of locals and local business, such as great cafes, banks, groceries, etc. My room had big windows and a nice shower. The desk staff were helpful and spoke English well. Within walking distance of the metro, about 5 blocks.
“Perfect hotel for a perfect week in Paris!”
I had a great experience with this hotel overall. Our room had comfortable beds, was clean, and been re-done recently so it was very modern looking. Fairly spacious room for a European hotel and the bathroom was really big. The staff spoke English very well and were incredibly helpful. The hotel is in very easy walking distance (less than 5 minutes) of the Rome Metro stop, easy and fast access to everywhere in the city and within walking distance of Montmartre. When I first booked I was concerned that it wasn't near the main tourist attractions, but I've since learned that the main tourist attractions in Paris aren't near each other, so you would have to take the metro even if you stayed right under the eiffel tower, so you should not let this dissuade you, the location is super convenient for getting the metro everywhere you'd like to go. Breakfast was convenient and provided plenty of variety (pastries, cereal, yogurt, toast, etc). The hotel is in a safe neighborhood, we felt comfortable walking around at night and is across from some good restaurants. The neighborhood is quiet at night. There is a nearby park that is gorgeous and perfect for going running. My only minor issue was with the maids, who failed to provide clean towels for a few days when ours were visibly dirty but this was a minor problem during an otherwise fantastic stay!
“Inexpensive, Hospitable and Fun”
This small hotel is ideal for budget travelers. Nothing is fancy, but clean and the service is very friendly. It seems to be outside the usual tourist areas, so you can get a taste of the real Paris. It is very close (five minutes walk)to two metro stations, so all of Paris is within your reach for the 1.4 euro ticket price.
“Eh...”
It wasnt a bad hotel. Personally, I would have preferred something closer to the "big" sites.
“Wonderful Experience”
We had quite a large room located behind the recpetion desk in the courtyard. The closet was bigger than some of the other rooms I had stayed in. The room was for three people, and was more like a suite with two bedrooms. The rooms were simple but very well maintained, and the staff was excellent.
“It was OK, but no elevator in 4 story hotel, nice personals”
Good location, close to metropolitan, breakfast cost resonable, english speaking, a lot of coffes shop and supermarket, pharmacys and restaurants around.Walking distance to main attractions.
“Good location, quiet small hotel”
This is an ok small hotel in the middle of Rue de Batignolles street. The location is great, a 5 minute walk from the Rome metro stop, right next to a small grocery store, bakery, bookstore and very many good inexpensive restauraunts. Room was quiet, windows opening to an indoor courtyard. Small place, only 6 rooms on the floor and I think four storeys. No elevator, so suitcase hauling was a pain. Bathroom didn't have a shower curtain, but a nice big tub. Overall room was clean and looks like they were under renovation, so one day we had no cupboard in the bathroom, the next it was there. Very simple furniture, I guess that's what three star is supposed to have. No fridge or coffee pot either. Our reservation did not have bed and breakfast, so when you book make sure you read the fine print. The grocery store was a life saver, because even though McD's and KFC are at the Place De Clichy metro 7 min away, but are not cheap. Front desk called the cab upon request so that was nice. Overall for the price and the location I would stay there again even with the simple furniture and a lack of breakfast, there's enough to do in Paris we just went to the hotel to sleep, but the shower curtain absense was interesting, no rod to hang it on either. To take a taxi from Eifel Tower it is 10 Euros, so not too far. CDG airport fee was 45Euros to get there and 50 to get back. Staff understood enough english. ATM is across the street too, that was convenient.
“Great hotel in a real Paris neighborhood”
I would stay here again anytime. The staff was as friendly as could be - helping me with my french, and accomodating us wonderfully. The area was close to two metro stops so very convenient. The neighborhood itself was great...several food markets, lots of cafes and restaurants and a lovely park at the end of the block. Definently a true parisian experience. Not touristy at all.
“Not recomended”
The bathroom door could not be closed and the room itself looks like a cheap hotel room from 1920's.
