Convenient locationPosted Aug 16, 2013
Hotel staff not very friendly and the area is fairly busy and noisy all night Room only half painted - in other words very poorly painted The bathroom was mouldy and in need of a very good cleaning For the price - I would say it was good value - very close to the Rome metro station and a 10 minute walk to the moulin rouge Many nice cafes if you turn left as exiting the hotel - what you would expect from a two star hotel

No room to swing a catPosted May 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
Ideally located close to Metro station Rome, this hotel does NOT live up to the photos posted on the website ..so beware. Very Parisian, with small dog running around (found a little dog message right outside our room)this hotel is more a pit stop than palace in need of redecoration and a thorough clean. Having said that we had a courtyard room with a very comfy bed, hot shower and clean towels every day. Our room was not much bigger than a closet, with peeling wallpaper and although we wouldn't go back we felt it was a safe place and it didnt spoil our romantic break <3

Extremely small but tidyPosted Jan 20, 2013
Cons: How tiny our room was.
Location: Good location, really close to Montmartre. Really close to Rome metro station.
There was no elevator up to our room and then once inside the room i could barely move around with my suitcase. The man at the reception was really nice though and carried my suitcase up the stairs for me. There were two of us in the room and the easiest way to get to the bathroom was to climb over the beds, there was hardly any room to walk between the end of the beds and the dresser. The room was far too small. There was one unhelpful guy on reception that would not print out a one page train ticket for us saying it was impossible for him to do, we went down the next day and asked the new guy on reception where a print place was but he instead offered to print it for us there straight away. So only one unhelpful staff member, everyone else was great. Overall nothing special, but tidy. Breakfast was very basic.

Great budget hotelPosted Sep 12, 2012
Pros: lovely view from the window, closeness to metro
Cons: a bit noisy street
A very good hotel when you are on a budget: close to transport links, clean and well maintained. However, the rooms are on the small side. Nevertheless, it had everything what I needed.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel du Mont Dore, in Place de Clichy. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we had no problems. We didn't pay for the breakfast, as we wanted to visit patisseries. The hotel is convenient to the Place de Clichy subway station, which is in central Paris.

We liked the area, which was close to Montmartre and many small bars and restaurants. The hotel staff were very pleasant, but the room was a little noisy.
Too smallPosted Jun 8, 2012 on Hotels.com
Clean but too small...4th floor if there is a fire, no where to go but jump...
Cheap but not always so cheerfulPosted May 3, 2012
Pros: The location
Cons: Teeny tiny rooms that left me feeling like a giant. The shower and the toilet were the worst parts.
Location: Really quite good actually. Close to the metro and street markets (food) on the weekend.
The location of the Hotel is pretty good, within reasonable walking distance of the Rome stop on the Metro and nice and close to the Moulin Rouge, Montemarte, Sacre Coeur area. The staff were a little quirky and bordering on unfriendly at times. I often found myself thinking I was staying at fawlty towers and not in Paris. The rooms themselves were absolutely tiny but clean and well presented for a 2 star property. If the staff had been a little more friendly and welcoming it would have made all the difference as one can easily overlook the small rooms given the fact that Paris is notorious for small rooms.

Convenient, Clean and FriendlyPosted Apr 6, 2012 on Hotels.com
We found the Hotel to be fantastic. It was convenient to the Metro, and usually only 1-2 trains from where we wanted to go. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke enough English to understand and be understood. Our room was at the front of the Hotel, but was soundproofed so very quiet. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space in our room for bags and moving around. The bathroom was a good size and cleaned daily by the staff. We didn't eat at the Hotel as we ate on the run most days. There were plenty of restaurants and places to eat within a very easy walking distance. I would definitely stay here again if I am lucky enough to return to Paris.
