Room was quite large but could use some updating. The bathroom had recently been remodeled. The front desk service was helpful and polite. Very convenient location to museums and monuments.

Too much like Fawlty Towers

Posted Jul 11, 2012
Pros: Breakfast was good
Cons: Overall upkeep of the hotel and attitude of the staff were both disappointing
Location: Good location behind the Assemblee Nationale close to the Musee D'Orsay
We arrived to a rather ordinary welcome at reception. When we got to our room we found there were only 3 beds so went back to complain and were assured it wasn't a problem, the housekeepers had not done their job. The man from reception came to put up the extra bed and we were reminded of Fawlty Towers... this impression stayed as we found curtains which wouldn't close and lights which didn't work. Other guests explained where we could find the breakfast room (we speak French so this was not a language issue!) and while the breakfast was good the overall standard of welcome and condition of the hotel was not what we expected for a 3 star hotel at that price.

Lovely hotel in a lovely city

Posted Jun 26, 2012 on Hotels.com
Lovely hotel on a quiet street close to many sites and the subway. The only complaint was the beds. There were four of us traveling together, two of us got a good bed, but the two who got the twin-sized ones in the extra room were very uncomfortable. Still, a good place to stay. Who wants to sleep while they're in Paris anyway?

Small friendly quiet hotel in 7th arrondisement

Posted Apr 28, 2012
Good location and friendly owner. Ideal for Napoleonic and war museums and walkable to Eiffel Tower (20 mins). 2 metros stations easily accessible. Good range of cafes east and west off hotel (7-10 mins each side) for eating. Quiet street.

Great hotel!

This is a wonderful boutique hotel in a great location. We were within walking distance to all of the local attractions and the metro. The rooms are comfortable and typical of Parisian hotels, that is a little on the small side. There are many wonderful restaurants within walking distance, many on the same street. Our favorite was the italian Giallo Rosso, complete with the owner's pug who visits with the guests. The hotel has a caring and very hospitable staff. If you need transportation to the airport, they can reserve a taxi, which is more like a private car. Ask for the "Black Cab" service. It is only a few dollars more than the regular cab and very reliable! Enjoy!!

Extremely Poor Service in a dirty hotel

Posted Sep 29, 2011
Hotel was run-down and unpleasant, with loads of silverfish in the storage area. Worst part was the rude staff - tried to call for help connecting to the internet and the guy on duty at the front desk snapped at me and hung up four times - each time after only about 10 to 30 seconds on the phone because "it was frustrating for him". The other guy on duty in the morning seemed annoyed that we wanted to leave our luggage in storage during the day as we had a late departure from Paris. He then tried to charge us as we left for this, without any indication luggage storage was extra. He was busy on a personal phone call so we just walked out and he didn't seem to care. Rude, snooty service for a rubbish quality hotel - not a single positive trait to suggest anyone should waste their money here.
