Except for the great location, there is nothing special about this hotel Cleanliness is poor, maintenance are a problem, rooms are not small but tiny Don't expect a 4 star as it says

Great hotel in great location but.....

Posted Jan 21, 2014
Pros: Very nice staff, well furnished and the facilities are fine. Great location.
Cons: Better soundproofing?
Location: Lots of things nearby. Wide range of things to do and see.
very noisy at night. That's fine if you stay out past two am making noise yourself but not so good for the rest of us....

Handy comfy spot in the very middle of it all.

Pros: Location, comfort
Location: So central and yet a little tricky to find. Just off St-Denis and Rivoli. Cab driver's GPS gave poor directions based on address on St. Opportune.
Very comfortable stay. Slept like a baby. Older property that is affordably chic. The scene outside my French window make all my FB friends envious. Really close to everything. Handy stores, coffee, shops nearby. Staff was great and helpful. WIFI worked great. Would recommend and stay again.

Enjoyable

Pros: No traffic noise
Cons: They've done their best with what they have.
Location: Plenty of nice bars, restaurants, shops and within easy reach of the metro.
This hotel is rather small but quite adequate for a short stay. The lift holds only two people at a time and you sometimes have to wait a while to ride it and it is a lot quicker to walk down. Our room was small with just enough room to move around the bed, storage space was limited but quite a nice size bathroom. Central position but area is a bit shabby while the redevelopment of Les Halles is ongoing. Plenty of bars and restaurants around and about. Staff very helpful.

The hotel staff was great as well as the location. The room was super tiny (and we had one of the bigger rooms) and was very basic. For th amount spent, you cold probably do better.

Nice hotel but dated. Great location

Location was great, right next to a metro station that takes you all the way to CDG airport. However, the unfriendly gent who checked us in didn't provide a very warm welcome; the other staff were great. Moreover, the rooms are tiny and I really don't feel the quality of them justifies the high price. The shower was smaller than Japanese standards and soaked the entire bathroom. There was a serious lack of storage and the carpets and lift in the hotel are tired and showing serious wear. I wouldn't return sadly.

I truly enjoyed staying at the Ducs d'Anjou. It is small but does not feel tight. The room is just right for a short stay. The location can't be beaten. The Staff very friendly and helpful. It felt very accommodating, professional, yest easy going. I will most certainly be back on my trips to Paris.

Central location

The hotel was very well located near Chatelet-Les Halles so easy to get to from CDG airport. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and big enough for me but may feel a bit crowded with more than one person. The bed was very comfortable and the double glazing was excellent, it really kept the street noise out. There was a bit of noise from other rooms/occupants but in such a small hotel I think this is probably usual.

Excellent location. Okay hotel.

Room smelled like smoke. It was not designated a non-smoking room so we accepted this. However, the room was tiny. Just enough room for a double bed. Walls were paper-thin so we heard our neighbors a lot. Their website said they had a clothes iron on request but when we asked they didn't have one for us. This was all forgiven due to the excellent location. 1 minute away from the subway station on the airport line and within walking distance to the Louvre, Notre-Dame, Eiffel Tower, and more.

Small hotel in great location

Pros: Location next to lots of bars and cafes. Traffic free, so quiet
Walking distance from Notre Dame, Louvre, Pompidou Centre and on the edge of a traffic free area. Smart, modern decor, everything worked. Reception staff speak good English and were very helpfull. Not cheap but I think reasonable value for location, service and ambience. Rooms are small - maybe don't stay there if you are over six foot as our bathroom was small Breakfast not best value at Euro 17 but quiet civilised buffet Would certainly recommend for short stay in central Paris
