Chic HotelPosted Oct 5, 2013
Pros: Good service and 'funky' decor.
Location: Good location close to the Arc de Triumph and the metro station. Plenty of cafes close at hand too.
A good hotel close to a lot of major attractions. The room was clean and in good condition, the decor is nice. Room service was good, the staff are helpful and polite. Overall a pretty good place to stay.

Great Location!Posted Oct 3, 2013
Pros: Convenience, great location within proximity to all major attractions, a lot of stores around nearby, and very safe location.
Hotel Duret is very well located about a 5 minute walk to the Argentine Metro on Line 1 and about a 10-15 minute walk to the Champs Elysees. There is a Franprix grocery store right downstairs and many convenient shops and restaurants right nearby, as well as a delicious boulangerie (bakery) near the corner of Avenue de la Grande Armee. Shopping is great as you're right near all the major brand stores on Champs Elysees, and the metro allows you access to all of Paris. The hotel is an excellent boutique hotel, very clean, and staff is very friendly! The beds are comfortable, and the location felt very safe. I would highly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay again.

Close to everything. CleanPosted Sep 24, 2013
Pros: We liked the location, and the staff.
Cons: Air conditioning. It's turned off a little after Labor Day. It was hot! If you open the windows you here everything outside.
Location: Close to everything!
The staff was very very helpful with where to go and what to do. Arranged for cabs. They speak English and very nice. The rooms are small.

Great hotel, great location. Recommended.Posted Sep 21, 2013
Pros: The buffet breakfast was convenient. The metro station Argentine was 5 min walk away so made going anywhere super easy. Lots of restaurants nearby.
Location: The Arc de Triomphe, Champs Élysées, is a short walk away. The metro is super convenient and all tourist attractions are a short train ride away.
My wife and I were on our 10 wedding anniversary holiday here in Paris. We chose Hotel Duret due to good reviews from other travellers. The hotel staff were very nice. They all spoke English very well. There is an elevator so you didn't have to haul your luggage up the stairs. Our room was the superior queen and was of the purple decor, and was very nicely decorated. Our bed was very comfy. The air conditioning worked very well and was quiet. The bathroom was actually very spacious for European standards. It was very similar to North American layouts. My only complaint was the shower only had a small glass partition and no shower curtain. We have been to many European hotels and they are all the same whether it is a 3 or 4 star hotel. So the water goes everywhere when you take a shower. That was the only drawback. The location of this hotel and being on a quiet street was why we chose it. Edward from the front desk recommended a couple of restaurants (La Maison and Bellini) both a short walk away and the food was fabulous. There is a small market and pharmacy on the same block for any supplies you may have forgotten. We are always very particular about the cleanliness of the rooms and were very impressed. The baseboards could use a good vacuum though. Other than that it was pretty clean. Hope this helps.

Small, well-run hotel in a nice neighborhoodPosted Sep 19, 2013
Location: Near Argentine metro stop and Arc de Triomphe. Easy access via metro or longer walk to other attractions in Paris.
This is a small, well-run hotel with friendly, helpful staff. It's in a nice neighborhood, with a supermarket, a patisserie and other useful shops nearby. It's also within walking distance of the Arc de Triomphe and (if you like walking) the Eiffel Tower. It's also close to the Argentine metro stop, which provides easy access to the central attractions in Paris. The room was small but nicely decorated, and small is par for the course in European hotels. Free WiFi in the room was very helpful. Didn't have breakfast in the hotel as we'd heard it was expensive from other reviewers, but preferred to do our own thing at a local patisserie anyway. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a reasonably-priced, non-chain, well-run hotel in a good neighborhood.

Nice hotel in WW1 areaPosted Sep 11, 2013
Pros: Huge room especially for Europe, bed seemed to be king size when we were only expecting a queen, updated, clean, plenty of parking, quiet, mini fridge
Cons: A spare blanket that is lighter / cooler to change to would be good. A quilt / duvet can be very hot in summer weather.
We used this as a central location from which to visit a number of world war 1 memorials, monuments, etc. over the span of a few days. Everyone we encountered spoke at least some English. All were helpful, including giving us practical directions in a place with minimal or hard to find street signs to the nearby huge Leclerc supermarket so we could get supplies to take on our wanderings. Notes: The wall between the washroom (double sink and shower/tub) and bedroom is a white (plexi?)glass so if the washroom light is on the bedroom is indirectly partially lit at night. The toilet is in its own room, convenient when there are two people. The drapes and sheers are mostly for aesthetics. There is an electronically operated external shutter on the window to shut out any outside light while sleeping.

A+ HotelPosted Sep 4, 2013
Pros: The hotel staff was excellent. They were always very helpful, spoke English well, recommended good restaurants and areas to visit.
Cons: Room the the toilet was in was a little small.
Location: Was in a great area that was safe, close to metro and train station and away from the tourist area which was a way to relax at the end of the day.
This hotel made my stay very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend it and felt lucky to be staying there. Since it was small you got taken very good care of. It was very clean and nicely decorated. It had a small bar that the staff was always happy to make you a drink or open you a bottle of wine. They had a very nice breakfast buffet each day that was priced good. Room was a nice size, air conditioning worked very well. Bathtub/shower area was very nice and contained very nice robes, wifi worked great, grocery store close by, beds were very comfortable. Nice restaurants in walking distance. I just loved staying there!

Would definitely stay here again!Posted Aug 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
Me and my husband stayed here for our honeymoon, we had booked the superior queen room. The hotel is very stylish and contemporary. Excellent location, walking distance from arc de triomphe/champs élysées and right near the Charles de Gaulle bus transfer stop. Perfect getaway!

Clean, friendly, but NOT soundproofPosted Aug 15, 2013
Pros: - clean - great location (5 min walk to the metro and in the heart of the city, walkable to champs élysées and arc de triomphe) - very friendly, attentive and helpful staff Cons: - the rooms are NOT soundproof. We could hear our neighbours very clearly.
