Really close to Arc de TriomphePosted Sep 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
The only issue is that nobody speaks another language instead of French, everything else is really good!

Nice location, but quite ugly overallPosted Apr 6, 2011
This is a cheap and fairly nasty hotel in a good location, which could do with a refurbishment. The price is Ok, although breakfast is pricey for a croissant, baguette and coffee/juice - bars in this nice area charge about the same but might have nicer surroundings. The place is old and in bad shape (think granny's house in the 70s - loud paintings in plaster frames, frayed nylon bedpreads, unwashed curtains). Despite the depressing decor and smell of damp/feet in the room, the en-suite bathroom was very good, with hot water and fresh towels every day. Rooms facing Rue des Ternes will be loud overnight, with very thin walls so bring earplugs or ask for a room facing the inner courtyard. The staff are calm and relaxed and will generally accomodate anything that doesn't require much effort. This is a budget option, which isn't very good value. If you are looking for somewhere nice for a holiday shop around and you'll get much better places in Montmartre.
