Great hotel that is affordable

Clean, friendly and helpful staff. Close to metro, Gareth du Nord, opposite supermarket, close to plenty of affordable restaurants - well positioned overall for what I wanted to see in Paris.

Hotel France Albion

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Nice hotel, well located. Close to two Metro stations. Only downside, is the road outside is busy all night so can be noisy.

Thank you for your comment! Notre Dame de Lorette Street is a one way street but if you prefer a quiet room, next time book the superior double room facing the courtyard.

Pleasant stay.

Situated relatively close to the Opera (so good for the Charles de Gaulle airport shuttle bus) and only a short walk to Montmartre. Nearest metro stop a couple of minutes away too. The staff were helpful and bilingual (a plus for this English speaker), with someone always on the front desk regardless of how late the hour. The buffet breakfast, although extra to the bill, was perfectly adequate. With quite a wide range of choice running from cereals, to scrambled eggs and bacon. All served in a rather lovely repurposed cellar. My room was cleaned every day, with fresh toiletries added as and when I needed. Overall, I can't fault it for the price.

Clean and comfortable with more than you would expect at a 2 star - free WiFi, free safe, free aircon, efficient lift. Decent size room and bathroom by Paris standards. Friendly staff, decent optional breakfast and close to metro in safe area with decent eateries.

Nice charming European Hotel in Old Paris neighbor

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: Location and its unique character.
Location: located in an interesting Old Paris neighborhood near subway station, restaurants. Walking distance to The Opera House where many tours start.
MY party of six recently spent 3 nights at The France Albion Hotel and were all pleased with our experience. The neighborhood with it's many restaurants, shops and stores gives you a close up look of Paris life. The hotel itself is charming with very unique d├ęcor but most importantly it is very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and were skillful at speaking English as well as other languages. Overall a great experience. I would stay again and recommend to others.

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: CLean, helpful staff, good location. Has a lift to all floors.
Location: Just a 10-15 minute walk from Opera. There are some really good restaurants around the hotel, particularly to the north.
Good location for transport links in, out and around Paris.

Pros: Value for money compared with the standard.
Location: 2 minutes from the metro, Carrefour across the road & plenty of cafe/bars in a 5 minute radius.
This is a great 2 star hotel, with much better facilities than I would expect. Staff were friendly & helpful, rooms well equipped and is in a great location.

A lovely hotel in a really good location.

Posted Jul 25, 2014
Pros: The hotel staff.
Cons: The coffee at breakfast could be stronger.
Location: There are plenty of good restaurants, cafes and bars nearby. In the next street there are many superb bakeries, delicatessens and grocers.
The hotel staff were extremely helpful and enthusiastic about our stay. The location is ideal for Eurostar arrivals and for sightseeing anywhere in Paris. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast is worth having.

Pleasant stay in Paris

Posted Jul 17, 2014
My wife and I spent two nights in Paris at this hotel. The street on which the hotel is located, as is the case with many streets in Paris, was very busy. There were two cafes very close by and traffic late into the night. However, with the windows closed and the heavy curtains drawn we heard very little noise and slept well. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. Since we were only staying at the hotel for two nights, the attendant at the desk arranged for a shuttle to pick us up and drive us to CDG airport as soon as we arrived at the hotel. A very good buffet breakfast was served in the basement of the building down a short flight of narrow, winding stairs in a nice little room which was pleasantly attended by courteous staff. We would consider staying at this hotel again.
