Nice hotel, friendly staffPosted Nov 25, 2013
Really nice hotel, but had to change room as I booked a double bed and ended up getting two singles pushed together. But overall nice stay.

Pleasant hotel. Close to Republique Square.Posted Sep 20, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff, cleanliness and its convenient location.
Location: Very convenient for plenty of cafes and restaurants with varied choice of meals.
Enjoyed our stay. Found location of hotel very convenient for local cafes/restaurants and metro stations. Hotel was very clean and staff helpful and friendly, who were always available. Staff very approachable and knowledgeable when we asked for advice on getting to different parts of Paris.

Clean and ComfortablePosted Sep 16, 2013
Overall a great experience at this hotel. My room was ready right when I checked in and the accommodation was perfect for my needs: basically a clean place to lay my head at night. The decor is chic and modern, the staff were all very friendly and accommodating, I would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Paris. The location is somewhat removed from the "major sights" of Paris, though for those who plan to get around by metro, the hotel's close proximity to a major station (Republique) is ideal.

Lovely quiet hotel close to the metroPosted Aug 25, 2013
Pros: The quiet and relaxing atmosphere and helpfulness of the staff. Breakfast can be ordered and delivered to your room from 7am for no extra charge.
We stayed here for 2 nights in August. It is a clean and bright hotel, the room was very comfortable and so quiet. Close to two metro stations and a very pleasant walk to Notre Dame. Place du Republique is close by and you can sit and people watch. However, if you wander along the side streets you can find smaller authentic restaurants. The staff were helpful and when asked, recommended some local restaurants which were excellent.

I recommend this hotel!Posted Aug 18, 2013
Pros: Location, was very clean and comfortable
Cons: Bathroom could do with some shelf space!
Location: Good location with Republique Metro just a few minutes away
The Gabriel Paris Marais is in a good location - just three stops on Line 5 from Gard du Nord to Republique metro. That's handy if you're travelling by Eurostar. The hotel is a few minutes away from Place de la Republique, a good landmark and a good starting point to get around the cityvia metro. Local attractions include Canal St Martin, the Marais area and Bastille. I had a Lone Star room for single travellers, which was small, but very clean and comfortable. The bed (although it took up most of the room!) was very comfortable. Bathroom, again small, but very clean. It could do with some shelf space to store towels/wash bags etc, but that's a small minus point. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the included buffet breakfast was good. I'd stay there again.

Pleased w Hotel GabrielPosted Aug 7, 2013
Pros: The staff.
Cons: Shower doors that close all the way. The plumbing noise in the rooms is pretty loud.
Location: very close to Republique Square. The nearest Metro is a bit of a walk maybe 5 minutes.
The highlight was the pleasant staff. Every one of them went out of their way to make us comfortable. The location is good, and the facilities are fine but nothing special. I'd recommend it for the money. I would describe it as "quaint".

good hotel, staff were helpful, and hotel rooms were clean. Rooms very small, and one day some of the breakfast options ran out, Despite this, had a great stay!

Not worth the moneyPosted Aug 5, 2013
Cons: Small and noisy
Location: Very close to a metro station linked to several lines. Good choice of restaurants close by.
We booked this hotel for our Honeymoon to Paris. It looked pretty central and from the ratings we thought it would be a nice hotel. We booked an Executive room, thinking we wanted abit more luxury for our honeymoon - wish we hadn't bothered with the extra expense. The room (402) was small considering it was supposed to be an executive room with no proper wardrobe, not even big enough for one person, let alone 2 so had to hang half of our things around the room, which was not ideal. When we went down to ask if we had been given the correct room, the staff were not very helpful and said yes it is 17 square metres! which wasn't very helpful. The room was pretty clean, however we did find the bathroom was falling apart abit and if you leant on the sink too hard the whole thing pulled away from the wall. There was no proper door on the shower so the floor got soaked every time you had a shower. The evenings trying to sleep was fun as everytime the people above us used a tap, the toilet or shower etc we could hear all the water running through the pipes and it was very annoying and very loud! which made it difficult to sleep all the time we were there and it would often wake us up in the morning aswell. In terms of location, it was fine. Very close to the metro station, a little supermarket and a variety of restaurants but set off the main road so you did not get too much traffic noise. Is OK if staying 1 night but would recommend staying elsewhere for longer stays.

Small room but great hotel!Posted Aug 3, 2013
Pros: AC, cleanliness of room, very good breakfast included, great location.
Cons: Advertised as a 4 star when I booked, it's actually a 3 star. Room was VERY small.
Location: Great location, probably 30 minute walk to Notre Dame.
This little hotel is great, and is in a perfect location to see Paris! I would say the only downside is the rooms are VERY small- perfectly doable as a couple, but perhaps not perfect. I would say that it was not worth the $150 a night for the room, due to the size, and that it's a 3 star hotel (although advertised as a 4 star), but we definitely had a great time. Also, the room decor is very unique, and the room was very clean. The AC was fantastic and self adjustable, and not noisy at all.
