Great hotel, great location!
Posted Jan 4, 2013
The hotel was very well situated - 10 minutes from the Eiffel Tower and the Champs Elysees. There was a metro station just around the corner and lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The Metro in Paris is really easy to use and there was only one change on the Metro to get to Cluny-la-Sorbonne in the centre of the Latin Quarter if you want to venture somewhere else at night. The hotel room we were given was on the ground floor right behind the reception desk and on the road side so I was ready to complain. However, we heard no noise from the reception area or the main road. The bathroom was lovely and clean and we had a wet room shower - the only fault was the floor completely soaked so the design wasn't quite right but this didn't spoil our stay - it just might spoil their wood work in months to come!

Parisian Cramp
Posted Jan 3, 2013
Great location near the Eiffel Tower and other Parisian monuments but the size of the room and bathroom was disappointing. This was our first stay in Paris so we aren't too sure how it compares to other hotels in the area but we were definitely in a cramp space. We came with two large suitcases (American Travelers) and two carry on bags. After rearranging the small night lamp tables we made enough room to open our bags comfortably. The positives: the hotel was certainly clean and the front desk folks were helpful with arranging shuttles and lending us umbrellas when necessary. The hotel is also near the metro which is the best form to get around the city. There is a small restaurant downstairs where you can enjoy breakfast for 16 Euros which also seemed steep considering you can buy a nice coffee and sandwich or croissant for half that price. There was also a supermarket around the corner where we picked up bottles of wine, cheeses and fresh bread for much less.

Convenient for site seeing and Metro

Pros: A cozy boutique hotel
Cons: rooms are not large but for 2 people it was okay.
Location: Within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and Hotel des Invalides, the Metro and lots of places to eat
My daughter and I stayed in May for 6 nights. We arrived 2 hours before checkin time, deposited luggage and then explored the neighborhood. Got back a little after 3 and was told that our room was not yet ready. After sitting in the lobby for 1 hour my daughter asked when our room will be ready and the concierge told her that since I requested separate beds, they were still preparing the room. Needless to say, I found this to be a very poor excuse since I would like to believe the hotel would already have rooms set up specifically for non-couples. We were given the keys to our room at 4:45 pm. The third morning of our stay, a young woman knocked on our door to gain entry with an electrician to fix the socket for the hair dryer and the socket for the alarm clock. On the final morning of our visit, I got up to make coffee, plugged in the electric pot and all the lights went out! Walked down to reception from our 2nd floor room, a very pleasant young man came back with me, he played around with the fuse box in the hallway, lights came on again and he left. I plugged in the pot again and same thing happened; made a second trip down to the lobby, and the young man repeated the process. He told me not to plug in the pot, and instead brought back a ceramic teapot with hot water. We were happy to check out at 12 Noon! The upside to this hotel is it's close proximity to the Eiffel Tower, Hotel des Invalides, the Metro and lots of eating places.

Great location, expect more for the price

Pros: location, and majority of staff members were very helpful
Cons: one of the staff members was a bit stressed at times
Location: very close to the Eiffel Tower, the metro, Rue Cler
Expected a lot more since the hotel was rated highly on expedia and trip advisor. Nice to have staff which spoke English. Would like to see breakfast included for the price you pay for the stay and more information available to the guests.

Great hotel for Americans traveling to Paris
Posted Jan 20, 2013
Location was excellent for access to all Paris attractions. Wonderful location near cafes & shoppes. Staff was so helpful. Many English speaking. Axle was my personal favorite. Could help me get anywhere or do Anything. Melanie was also very helpful coordinating activities. One recommendation would be to list separate prices if a person only wants tea or coffee for purchase in the morning. 16e when you are not able to sit and enjoy breakfast is quite high for continental. I will stay here again if I have the opportunity to return.

Great location... Perfect for weekend break

Great location with Tower and restaurants in short walking distance. Room was clean and perfect for what we needed, but don't expect a reasonable size due to its location. Completely adequate though and would stay again. We're able to walk to many sites from the hotel and had a great long weekend.

Cons: Room was tight
Location: Great location!
Clean room and the staff was very friendly. However the room was tight and not enough closet space for people staying more than a couple days.

Location: Close to the Eiffel tower and great restaurants, nice bars too near the hotel.Metro very close too. Carrefour city supermarket just around the corner.
