Excellent locationPosted Sep 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
Location was awesome. Very close to a few metro stops/lines, Louvre, tour companies, and many cafes/restaurants. The staff are friendly and courteous. WiFi was reliable for 4 devices in room.

great location, helpful staff!Posted Sep 2, 2013
Great place! Close to Louvre and all public transport. Quiet rooms, good shower. Awesome if you're just looking for a place to sleep, get clean, and relax, especially in such a hot location.

Very good 2 star hotel in a great locationPosted Aug 21, 2013
Pros: The location, size of room, bathroom
Cons: Entranceway is quite small, so it was a little difficult to maneuver our luggage.
Location: Great location! Parallel is the rue Saint-Honoré which has tons of great shopping (Ladurée is about 15 mins away). Close to jardin de Tuileries
I finally found this hotel after spending two days searching for a cost-effective hotel in a good location during the height of tourist season (end of June). I booked a room with two single beds and hoped that it would big enough to accommodate my friend, me, and our 4 big suitcases (we were staying in the hotel until we could find an apartment to rent). I was pleasantly surprised to find a decent sized room with all the amenities needed. The only struggle was getting our suitcases to our room because the hotel does not have an elevator, but our room was on the first floor so we managed. Our room was clean, the front desk was very nice and helpful (there is a 12:30am curfew) and the location was excellent! Under a 5 minute walk from the line 1 metro and located right off the rue Saint-Honoré. I would definitely stay in this hotel again and would recommend to anyone.

This was a nice hotel in a great location. It is older and nostalgic.

Perfect Paris locationPosted Jul 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
Walking in to the hotel I had some misgivings about my hotel selection because of the old winding stairs and age and was pleasantly surprised by the nice room and excellent bath. Great service from the front desk. Always willing to help or make suggestions unlike most of the French people we ran into everywhere else. The location for the money was impossible to beat. If you want to be in the center of Paris within walking distance to all the wonderful sites, stay here!

great timePosted Jul 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
Room.was a bit small, but for Paris, it was just right. There's a small grocery store around the corner, so check out the surrounding area!

You stay here for the locationPosted Jul 11, 2013
I took my wife and two kids to Paris in July 2013, and this is the only hotel in the 1st Arrondissment that would accomodate 4 people in one room - for less than $400 a night. The room was clean, albeit a little cramped with the extra beds in it. Air conditioning was great, because it was very hot during our stay. They provided WIFI. The hotel is a few hundred feet from Rue du Rivoli and the Tuleries Gardens, and the Louvre. There are some downsides. The circular staircase is narrow and treacherous, and many of the steps are not the same size. The elevator only fits 2 people at a time. TV only offered 2 english channels. The biggest detraction was that the bathroom in the room didn't have a normal door, it had swinging "saloon style" doors - which limited privacy. Again - we stayed here for the location - and for that it was the most affordable option.

Staying in the Heart of ParisPosted Jun 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
I had read other reviews about the hotel's issues such as narrow winding stairs and riduclous small lift and still chose Hotel Londres because of its brilliant location in the heart of the historic part of Paris. The bed was comfortable too.Fantastic to be that close to the Louvre and everything else including 3 min walks to Pyramides & Tulleries metro stations. Getting here from airport was easy - RER to Halles-Chatelet then metro to Tulleries. Getting to main railway Gare De L`Est to travel to Munich was by metro- v easy as well. If you can accept a very old historic hotel with its quirks, then this is a brilliant place to stay!
