Money stolen in the room while in showerPosted Jan 25, 2014
Outrageous, unacceptable. Hotel full of thieves Never had such an experience in 25 years of international business travel. My daughter and I stayed 2 days in this hotel. Cash was stolen from me by the hotel staff TWICE. Money (US$300) was taken out of my wallet WHEN I was in the shower. Then my daughter got a 50 Euros money stolen in her bag in the storage room. Manager told me "they could not identify who it was" They did not report the incident to the police.

Nice locationPosted Jan 14, 2014
Pros: the breakfast and the location
Location: great shopping
The rooms are too small, especially if you book it with Expedia. Although they claim to have refurbished the hotel, it is nonetheless not up to par with more modern hotels. The only thing going for them is the excellent location.

Welcoming and attentive staff, wonderful ambiancePosted Nov 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
We so enjoyed our stay at Hotel Lutetia. The general manager personally welcomed us upon arrival, the staff accommodated our request for a room with a view, and we were sent chocolates in recognition of our 25th anniversary. This hotel is very Parisian, has an excellent jazz piano bar, a brasserie where you can order seafood freshly shucked by the fishmonger , and a lovely restaurant, which we did not find time to dine at. We thank Lutetia for a wonderful time in Paris! location was also convenient affordable, by shopping, Metro and a walk to great restaurants by St. Suplice church

Very traditional hotelPosted Nov 23, 2013
The hotel is very traditional, food was excellent but some facilities were average. The gym is poor and the heating was temperamental. Not bad but needs some tlc

Hotel LutetiaPosted Nov 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
It is unbelievable that you pay over 500.00 per night for a room and have no control over the rooms temperture! The hotel made no effort to correct this! The did nothing but make it worse! Every maid service closed the windows that I had left open! An oven, with no escape, ignored by the staff

At the Intersection of Location, Quality and ValuePosted Nov 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
Excellent buffet breakfast; close to shopping, sightseeing and lots of top-tier restaurants. The concierge was superb -- landed hard-to-get restaurant reservations and always had a taxi at the front door when we needed one. We will definitely go back but will try to book an outward facing rather than a courtyard room.

2 American couples stayed here for four nights in October. This hotel was the perfect choice for us. It is definitely 4 stars not 5 but this is what we loved. Incredibly kind efficient and well trained staff. If they didn't understand us they found someone who did. Very convenient to everything we wanted to do. Luxury linens, and comfortable beds with nice luxury bath. The bar was always open. Lutitia is very French but friendly to Americans. Walking distance to great shops and restaurant. 10 minute cab ride to anywhere else we wanted to go. We would stay there again.

strikePosted Oct 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
The employees were on strike during my stay. The hotel is closing for renovations in February for 3 years. That says it all. Do not stay there until it reopens in 3 years
