Luxor hotel very close to ParisPosted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: staff and welcoming
Cons: the restrooms, shower, carpets and deco
Location: very close to "Paris with the metro within walking distance
Very nice welcoming from the staff. Even if my room was very basic, it stand on the back, not the street, on the 4th floor, so i was lucky not to have any noise. The shower was very basic, as was the restrooms but clean. Overall, I spent a good bight sleep given the price I paid

Good for tourists on a budgetPosted Jul 6, 2014
Recently had a good experience with this hotel. Most of the staff speaks some English, and they were very helpful and friendly, even calling us a taxi at 5am after our scheduled shuttle never showed up . Although this hotel is a fairly far walk from most of the tourist areas of Paris, it is very close to a metro line, which makes it quite easy to see as much of the city proper as you want. Our room had some comfort issues - noise from the street, stuffy when it was hot out, etc. But these weren't very bothersome considering the affordable price, the helpfulness of the staff, and the proximity of the metro. In other words, it's ideal for tourists on a budget who plan to be spending most of their time outside of their room anyways.

You get what you pay!Posted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: staff friendly, proximity to metro
Cons: a lot but price may go up.
No a/c, hair dryer. Soap dispenser did not work. TV was good with ability to see some soccer! Room is elementary. Wifi connection good in lobby only. Staff are friendly. Near Corentin stn on number 12 train, so good access. About 2 cafes nearby. Ok for pit stop or one night stay if single. Would not advise for families.

Good locationPosted May 30, 2014
Cons: Add a couple of euros to the price and have somebody from staff help with the luggage, get internet in the rooms.
Location: Easy transportation to Paris
The locations is good just between two metro stops, we had a room in the 4th floor with no elevator, internet doesn't work in the rooms and is very slow, staff tries but doesn't speak English, if you need directions you are better off with the information booth in the metro station. The room was clean but ugly

Value for moneyPosted Apr 21, 2014
Pros: Quaint, family run hotel. Clean
Cons: Radiator could have been fixed.
Location: Location is in Arr. 15 with a metro near by so you have access to the whole of paris. Its situated in a nice town with bars, bakerys and supermarkets.
I didnt pay a great deal for 2 nights at the Hotel Luxor so my expectations werent high but i was pleasently surprised. The rooms were small and the facilities were basic but the room as well cleaned and looked after. The only negative comment to make was the thermostat on the radiator in our room was broken so had to stay on but not a big deal. Would reccommend to someone who wants value for money and doesnt expect 5 star when paying peanuts (like most reviews)

It is an OK hotelPosted Apr 14, 2014
The good thing is it is close to metro station, restaurants and convenience store. The room is small, wifi is slow, and bath room is really really tiny. But it is Ok if only take a break here.
